  1. We were actually waiting for 60 Minutes since there is going to be a story about the volcanic eruption in Iceland
  2. PGA Championship on CBS just now. As Mickelson was approaching the 17th(I think) the crowd just swarmed him and was all amped up. it took a while for them to clear it. It all worked out I just never saw it happen like that on a course. Very wild. He just became the oldest ever to win a major.
  3. I haven’t watched golf in a few years and I never saw anything like that I thought maybe it had changed
  4. When did golf turn into a mosh pit?
  5. Rain has commenced. Won’t last long though. Car thermo dropped to 68F as I went through town
  6. Looks like 84.6F the high here. Those clouds kept the lid on it. Yesterday’s 85.3 still stands for now

  9. 85.3F here so far for the high. Clouds. As Scott said the humidity is more noticeable.
  10. Back in my college years I did a summer gig helping a guy build big houses (several patriot players included). Once we had to move an oak staircase and I dropped it in my toe. Messed up the nail and it later became ingrown. the podiatrist fixed it the way you mentioned but even today 30 years plus later it is still an issue
  11. There isn’t really a single spot where a person is truly on or touching both plates at a time. The nature of the ridge spread is more of a congealed mess than a true “this rock is N America, this rock is Europe. “ Pretty cool still.
  12. There is also a bit of smoke in the air from fires That won’t burn off but should t be a big deal
  13. I won’t hit 90 but today will be the hottest since 2020 for me I think. Then tomorrow we do it again
  14. Great Snow will come in and let us know this is the worst division in the history of sports
  15. I wouldn’t turn up my nose to this though (Viking restaurant)
  16. Speaking of the much missed government cheese, in my lab at my work there are some items of old science learning aids that are packed in those long gray govt cheese boxes.
  17. Yeah. I know a bunch of people who earn their living due to Disney travel and it is pretty much impossible to score park reservations right now. The thinking is in a few weeks they expand capacity which should help a little. I think you picked a good time to do the other trip.
  18. Yeah. I didn’t know about the lack of forests until we started researching this trip. The upside for me is I studied geology for my undergraduate so even without the active volcano it is a geologists dream.
  19. There is a reason why they eat so many hot dogs
  20. I am definitely trying it. Our 14 y.o. daughter is in for an interesting experience. She doesn't eat much seafood (fried clams and calamari are about it). But she is willing to try. I'm not a huge lamb eater so the seaood will be my go to
  21. Yeah, Sunday, Tues (maybe) + Weds look like summah
  22. Flights and hotels / AirBnBs are cheap, but car rental, gas, and food/booze are $$$ Things we are planning on doing.. Glacial kayak tour Icelandic horses Golden Circle Volcano (hopefully) Viking restaurant Diamond beach / basalt columns Lots of waterfalls. Not sure we are doing any pools/ Blue Lagoon...
  23. We had a rescue lab named Kona who lived 15 years. Huge muscular beast with an attitude. He mellowed with age and love. We too came home one day and he couldn't get up. I stayed by his side the whole night and he couldn't move his legs. His tail was thumping the whole time. So hard to say goodbye. We went 2 years without a dog and then adopted another rescue lab-ish pup. She is so happy. I don't enjoy walking her in late May/early June due to mosquitoes, but I do it.
