  1. Nice. I love the Beach Club. Try to get a Sunken Treasure at Hurricane Hannah’s if it is open. The pool there is superb.
  2. Nice! Get the Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake, as well as the Martini flight. My brother went with his family in August. He felt very safe, but make sure you obey the rules on property. Also, no entertainment no fireworks, no real parades. A much different experience.
  3. I am personally no fan of Biden. I felt he was among the weakest of the ones the Dems put up.
  4. I think if he had responded differently to the 'Vid he would have had a much easier time... and not so much as doing anything to stop/mitigate it, but just to voice his views on it differently. He so desperately wanted to appeal to the Trump flag waving cult members that he alienated the middle of the road types on that issue. We will see. Maybe he wins anyway
  5. One thing I don't like is some of my family (on my side) might be mad if we don't go there for Christmas Eve. Hmmmm.... an 89 year old mil ho relies on us... my wife has multiple autoimmune conditions, I'm in my 50s with high blood pressure... I think I can take a year off. They are somewhat deniers/antimaskers...
  6. Definitely not sure. Normally on Thanksgiving, we bring my 89 year old mother in law to my brother in law's house in Taunton. By then my wife and I will both be teaching the kids face to face so we could be vectors. Our daughter is riding a school bus and could be a vector. The city I teach in and the town I live in are red... we might just stay home. For Christmas Eve, we usually go to my brother's house in Foxboro. Siblings from MA, CT, and RI meet there...as well as an aunt/uncle and their grandkids. Not sure we do that.
  7. Yeah... this weekend will feature heavy heavy lawn and yard stuff... put away pool filter parts, screen porch closing... and hopefully some outdoor dining
  8. I don't really care what he does personally. It is the far edges of his base (and the Dem's extremes as well) I am concerned about
  9. I’m still running a school group at our local hill. Parents will be driving and will be responsible for their kiddos. It is just a way for them to get some cheap sessions. We are concerned our son won’t be able to work as many hours doing lifts. He is kinda banking on the $$$ for his spring semester
  10. I still have snow on my roof from Friday and this morning. Almost all gone otherwise though
  11. The foliage at the extreme left is a dogwood in our yard
  12. But aren’t they limiting passes and tickets? it works at Disney. Long spaced out lines but they move fast
  13. Why would they be longer than normal? I guess they won't be filling the seats unless it is a family group...
  14. Skiing itself certainly seems low risk. Lodges/resort bars/locker rooms/bathrooms are an issue.
  15. I'm not sure about legal troubles. I guess. someone could sue someone... Are states, etc. going after individuals? It does say loss of privileges...
  16. I would anticipate reduction in skiers will mean reduction in things like snowmaking and grooming, fewer lifts running etc... More space but some downsides
  17. The leaves are getting that "leathery" look...
  18. Someone in Windsor, MA reported 6.5" new snow to the NWS this morning. Are they the Lunenberg of W Ma?
  19. Yeah... I've heard different spins on this... We voted early not so much due to Covid, but for our work schedules it was better (and quick... no line at all)
  20. My building has been used as a polling place for at least 10-12 years. I've never seen the parking lot so full on election day or the lines to wait... and that's after Mass has had a record number of early voters... and the weather is good at least!
  21. Yeah... this stuff can make it treacherous if they don't treat it. It was pretty well forecast
