  1. We stopped by our local place to get popcorn and snacks on Saturday (watched Cruella at home). Parking lot was pretty full for the first time since March 2020. Our son went to see Quiet Place 2 there on Friday night. He said crowd was decent
  2. Yeah. Go later summer to the Cape. Same with Newport. Water is warmest. Crowds are lower.
  3. As we approach June 1 I figured I would start up a freshly baked banter thread.
  4. Went to the local Price Chopper. Brought a mask but did not wear it until I got to the checkout. Prob 60/40 mask vs no mask. I put the mask on at the checkout because the cashier is an older lady and she was wearing a mask. They are not required to and I wanted her to feel more comfortable. She has been there for years and we struck up a friendship during the pandemic. She is all vaxxed as well but still didn’t feel confident enough to go without. I felt self conscious not wearing one but it wasn’t a big deal. Helped in the produce aisle opening the stupid thin film bags. Lol
  5. June 6 and 7th look even hotter with 2m temps in the 90s
  6. Next Saturday on the GFS using Trop Tidbits algorithm thingy
  7. It's not Veterans Day... there is a difference
  8. How did the Stubhub thing get fixed?
  9. Mass now down to 0.69% positive 7 day avg She gone
  10. Is that the latest ever snow for ORH?
  11. Yeah... my wife and I really didn't care about other patrons... She is much more "screw the masks" than I am lol. I still might wear one to the grocery store because I look better with one on. But in reality I don't want the employees to feel uncomfortable. If they aren't wearing them (haven't check the policy there yet) I won't
  12. We take our students outside every day for a mask break. For those kids that do take off the masks (and some don't) it is good to see some of their faces. Others should probably stick to wearing them until they grow into their faces...lol
  13. Winds are pretty strong. Damage Hubb style here
  14. Well, the employees possibly had to? Not sure. Plus the busboy was prob only 16 or so and seemed skittish. The beer and food were good though
  15. At the brewery we went to the staff was wearing masks. I felt bad. A few customers came in wearing them. I was near a window and was watching people walk by. Many still had them on outside in the wind and rain. We brought them in case the brewery still required them but didn’t wear them since it was not required
  16. You gonna try it? Im not gonna try it you try it. Im not gonna try it. I know. Let’s get Mikey. He won’t eat it. He hates everything. He likes it. Hey Mikey!
  17. For this weekend I might wear one because it is too freakin cold! Lol. I am interested in seeing what is happening when I am doing grocery shopping this weekend. I’m pretty sure I won’t wear it but I will see what the vibe is. Read the room etc
  18. I seem to recall it at a few places, or at least a version... some locations had people working in the same spaces during 3 shifts, so they would share cubicle spaces with 2 others and have places they could store personal stuff... I think. Can't recall where. I almost worked for Millennium in the health and safety dept but didn't want to work in Cambridge full time. 2 people I am friends with here in the Hubb work at Astra in Waltham. I don't think they do the hotel thing but I never asked.
  19. Yesterday evening I went to pick up some pizza in Gardner. There was a big line of traffic in an area I had not seen it happen before. I forgot about the pot shop (huge lines) and the Taco Bell/KFC next door. Even huger line...lol Priorities
  20. Way back when I used to do a lot of work with members of the Mass Biotechnology Council (is that still a thing?) and I was always in Millenium, Novartis, Alkermes, Biogen, etc. But I was almost always just in the lab spaces. The hoteling seems like it was happening back then though... that must kinda suck
  21. If the weather was nice a lot of them wouldn't be able to handle a big crowd though since many are still understaffed, so this might be a blessing in disguise for many employees. Owners might not think the same. I can't recall another Memorial Day weekend where it was such a combination of rain and cold 2013 wasn't this bad
  22. I think the positivity rate is at like 0.74% in Mass (7 day avg?). Lowest since the start of the whole thing. So good to watch this go poof. Any reason that the office staff is expected to WFH other than the renovations?
