  1. On another topic, there was a big boom felt and heard across our town about a half an hour ago. Shook the house.
  2. If it saves some lives why not?
  3. US unemployment down to 6.0%. Over 900k jobs added in March. This rocket is taking off
  4. I dunno. Lots of signs of a boom underway. At least I hope so
  5. I would be shocked if they didn’t increase Brutal year for many for a wide variety of reasons.
  6. Suicides went down...although the 2020 data is provisional
  7. Wife and I both got the Pfizer. We both felt a lot of arm soreness with #1 but no other effects. For #2 we both had less soreness but more cruddy feeling for part of one day. No big deal. right now we are sitting in a brewery enjoying beer, pretzels, and pickles. Yum.
  8. Oh yeah. That’s true. I forgot about those. I thought you meant seasonal flu.
  9. Highest number for flu deaths I see is 61k but that is only during a 10 year period. I’m sure some will be freaked out for a while but a majority will move on At least that is my hope
  10. And don’t forget a lot of estimates of 30% in the US have already been infected even if they didn’t know it
  11. Just get it to something similar to the typical flu (I guess in terms of cases/deaths) and most people will be fine with it. I expect that to be happening in the next two months. Hoping at least
  12. That would suck. Amazingly talented
  13. It was actually yesterday morning. Not sure why I got it confused. It was on Twitter a bunch. I will post a link to a story on it https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/authorities-monitor-for-seismic-activity-following-reports-of-shaking-booming-noise/2345427/
  14. Did anyone figure out what had caused the booming/earthquake like event in SE Mass on Friday?
  15. The week looks pretty good after the cold departs. Better than many first full weeks of April
  16. 20.0F for my low. At least our tulips and daffodils haven’t really shown up yet other than some green shoots.
  17. One related issue is there is a large distrust of vaccines in the BIPOC community. I’m not sure if this was done in some way to try to counter some of that? I don’t know if is like that in Vt even. It is in MA and other regions
  18. Fortunately, in a short period of time, there will be so many vaccines available you will get one in a Happy Meal Of course in states like Alabama and Mississippi it has been a disaster to roll out. Oof
  19. I agree that it has been done very well in CT
  20. A case for prioritizing vaccinations ethnically https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2771874
  21. I posted a link showing POC were more vulnerable. Vaccine distribution has also been unevenly distributed based on race.
  22. How about age? That seemed like a good idea
  23. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/03/31/982799452/mysterious-ailment-mysterious-relief-vaccines-help-some-covid-long-haulers
  24. Anecdotal only but sounds like a decent number of people with lingering effects of Covid had them disappear or become lesser soon after getting fully vaccinated. I would think that is coincidence at this point but might be some good news
