  1. Yeah. I know a bunch of people who earn their living due to Disney travel and it is pretty much impossible to score park reservations right now. The thinking is in a few weeks they expand capacity which should help a little. I think you picked a good time to do the other trip.
  2. Yeah. I didn’t know about the lack of forests until we started researching this trip. The upside for me is I studied geology for my undergraduate so even without the active volcano it is a geologists dream.
  3. There is a reason why they eat so many hot dogs
  4. I am definitely trying it. Our 14 y.o. daughter is in for an interesting experience. She doesn't eat much seafood (fried clams and calamari are about it). But she is willing to try. I'm not a huge lamb eater so the seaood will be my go to
  5. Yeah, Sunday, Tues (maybe) + Weds look like summah
  6. Flights and hotels / AirBnBs are cheap, but car rental, gas, and food/booze are $$$ Things we are planning on doing.. Glacial kayak tour Icelandic horses Golden Circle Volcano (hopefully) Viking restaurant Diamond beach / basalt columns Lots of waterfalls. Not sure we are doing any pools/ Blue Lagoon...
  7. We had a rescue lab named Kona who lived 15 years. Huge muscular beast with an attitude. He mellowed with age and love. We too came home one day and he couldn't get up. I stayed by his side the whole night and he couldn't move his legs. His tail was thumping the whole time. So hard to say goodbye. We went 2 years without a dog and then adopted another rescue lab-ish pup. She is so happy. I don't enjoy walking her in late May/early June due to mosquitoes, but I do it.
  8. I will send him the electric bill.
  9. Just barely touched 80F here (79.8) but the sun was pretty hot Our son installed all of the ACs lol
  10. Just booked our Iceland flights. Hope the volcano is still going in August. I am so pumped to go
  11. Maybe there is no difference? Chariot of the Gods and all
  12. A bit of old news but my sister who lives in N RI had a 4+ acre brushfire come within 5 feet of her attached garage last week. Ironically started by accident by an off duty firefighter
  13. 82.0F high here. Nice late spring day. Big AN departure. Pollen sucks though.
  14. My bedroom cooled to 70F when I went to bed and it was 65 in there when I got up. My downstairs was a bit chilly
  15. If it gets hot I will. My house is 74 right now. It will be in the low 60s by morning
  16. March is what tipped the scales. That was warm and dry. If it wasn’t going to snow at least it was pleasant. Late April and early May were garbage. I think I had 8+ straight days with at least some rain
  17. I think he has been right for March,April and so far in May... For ORH they were +4.4 for March +1.9 for Napril so far +0.4 for May but that will climb quite a bit for the next several days
  18. I wish you luck. Be ready to pull the trigger once it is worth $500? $5000? I wouldn't know when to get off
  19. Cannibis infused seltzers? That’s a thing?
  20. Kids are gross in general. They won’t catch the ‘vid from a pair of scissors or a beaker
  21. We are thinking of doing snorkeling along a fissure in Iceland this summer. That’s pretty much what you gotta wear
  22. I’ve been able to do close to a dozen “hands on” lab activities since February. When we were in hybrid mode the number of kids per class was low so I could more easily do the labs (washing equipment etc in between groups). When they all came back it was harder. A ton of modifications. This will allow more kids to do it.
  23. One good update. With the Mass restriction rollback students are now allowed to share materials. This will make some of my final labs of the year much more doable.
  24. Thir fire department was always a hoot to deal with. When I did haz waste we would occasionally have to do remote openings of outdated chemicals and their HASP would be intense. Nice guys to work with but oof...
