  1. Either species is really cool. We had one in our yard years ago (can’t recall which one) that was eating a big frog. Had to open its mouth wide.
  2. And we were blown off by a solar sales rep. nice
  3. Eastern black racer maybe? Those get huge
  4. I’m watching him on NBC10 right now. Had not seen him live on air in quite a while. He has aged quite a bit
  5. Any of you solar folks ever have experience with Trinity Solar? We are hearing a proposal by them this evening. I’m super skeptical
  6. He still is tweeting recently using his NBC10 username
  7. I’m thankful there was no video/photographic evidence of my dumbassery in dealing with hornets using fire
  8. Some good surf this weekend from Earl way offshore?
  9. A million years ago I was working at my old office in Rocky Hill CT (was there every few weeks or so, mostly working in Marlboro Ma). There was some ornamental tree in front of the office that had a big, basketball sized nest in it. One of our project managers just went up to it with a thick drum liner bag (goes in a 55 gallon drum). Bagged the sucker up, knotted it, and let nature take its course. Over the next couple of days they all died of asphyxiation I guess. He didn’t get stung at all. crazy Nutmeg State dude. Lol.
  10. Glad the flooding doesn't seem too bad. A bunch of TV mets had posts/videos where they showed glasses of water on parched, "normal", and soaked ground. The glasses over the parched soil did not soak through, leading me to believe that in a big rainer it would all run into rivers, etc. I guess with them being low that might have mitigatged flooding?
  11. Some folks getting more rain in the past 24 hours than June July August combined
  12. This end is a bit below that. Around 0.5” so far. KFIT looks to be around 0.95” or so
  13. When I was a kid my grandfather had a pear tree. I hated visiting them around this time of year because of the yellowjackets.
  14. North Billerica MA reporting 4.4” already. Yikes
