  1. This is why I like living up here and this is why I like snow pack. Frankly, it’s better when the pack is only 10 to 15 inches like it is today because it’s easier to create a trail for walking. off the back of our property I can walk about a quarter of a mile up to a hill at over 800 feet and I get this amazing view. Of course I have my constant companion with me. The zoomed in photograph to the distant area is north north east. Somewhere over there is Dendriteland and the chickens
  2. That is how I think about it. It’s sort of paradoxical. Perhaps, now we don’t have to obsess over what seems like an impending storm seven days out and instead we can just see what appears. Maybe Friday?
  3. Mt Kearsarge hiding being the cloud deck and our morning walking trail covered with sagging trees. Incredible morning and snow not so deep so walking will be fantastic.
  4. That’s great. How high is the elevation there? where are you getting the NWS reports? The page just has a few reports from yesterday. Not sure why. It has an updated on their site.
  5. I think you are a higher elevation right next to Bow, so this may explain my friends comment of close to a foot and Biw
  6. A balloon? actually, just like last winter we’re doing OK up here. I’m now at 33 inches with an average of 70 and we tend to get a lot of snow in February and the first half of March. Last year it was above normal up here but not so about 30 miles to the south.
  7. A friend of mine said he thought they had close to a foot in Bow. He’s not a weenie so he’s probably just looking outside.
  8. 6 inches on the nose, probably the most uniform measure I’ve ever taken as it was literally 6 inches in about a dozen different spots. This storm was definitely a win and to keep the snow cover going for a good while.
  9. Wow looks like a lot out there. 5-6? I’ll measure in a bit. That must’ve been one nice band that I slept through. Still very light snow falling.
  10. Moderate-heavy now. Maybe 2”. Still radar looks like lots of holes in the precip. Maybe we get lucky if it stabilizes with a band and pivots a bit with the low. 4” would be a win. I imagine there could be a few lucky 8” totals somewhere. breezy and 32
  11. Yes moderate with good snow growth. But the radar doesn't look so great, although your radar is a better depiction than what I see. Is that upper level low in Western Mass gonna get close enough to get us into a mod-heavy band?
  12. I dunno...if I had to guess, I'd say we just don't get the good stuff here. ENY and SVT though will do well. Our hope lies in whatever is the upper level feature near Pittsfield. That could bring a band across SNH. About an inch here, and everytime it picks up, it never quite gets there, and slows down. But at least the landscape will be refreshed.
  13. I'd like to see those bands rotate up here. It looks like they will. Also, I think there is a bit of a pivot happening down around MHT now? Subtle but starting?
  14. Well the five posts do give us a little bit of entertainment lol. I appreciate your participation and contributions. And Seymour’s too.
  15. The pattern looks to drastically change. Results to be determined.
  16. Finally starting to accumulate but radar still shaky here. I’m ready for one of those normal storms where the warm iladvection moves in dumps for a bit lightens up, then increases as a coastal gets going. But it accumulates right away and it never really stops snowing. It actually feels like a snowstorm. Even when snowing hard at times today it’s never felt like a snow storm.
  17. Meh so far and radar says this shuts off shortly. No thump like to the south. I don’t think we were supposed to get a thump today, anyhow but it’s always discouraging to see the echoes fade away as they get near you.
