New Haven thin crust coal fired apizza (ah beets) is where its at. Sally's and Pepes who have been around since the 20s and 30's are consistently ranked some of the best pizza in America.

Noticed the same big jump lately as well. Takeout food seems crazy expensive now. Picked up some wings at a really popular spot and they were $15 for a 10 piece. They were like $7.99 pre covid. 2 bacon burgers and a large fry was $40 at five guys last week.

I just started using Tenacity this summer as we got a puppy and am trying to avoid any chemical herbicides like 24D in his area. The active ingredient is mesotrione, a compound derived from the bottlebrush plant. I think it also has a low risk EPA rating as well. You only need a teaspoon per gallon so your putting down such a tiny amount. Worked great on my crabgrass. It disrupts photosynthesis and it turns white in a week or two. It also is acts as a premergent and can be put down with grass seed as well.

July is usually one of the best months for solar production. This year its one of the worst months in the 5 years I have had the panels. Really shows your how little sun we had this July.

Can't believe how many of you are fussing with window units. How much did you spend on your house? Install some mini splits or central air. Lets spend 400k on a house but not spend 10k to be comfortable in it....

Exactly what happened to me. One of the stings was right between my eyes. It happened yesterday morning and when I woke up early today it was still bad and I could barely see. Finally this afternoon the swelling is rapidly going down and I am good now. Been stung many times but near your eyes is like 10 times the swelling.

Has anyone else ever been stung by a yellow jacket near their eye? Was working on a replacing a rotted window sill while 20 feet up on a ladder. Opened up a yellow jacket nest while ripping out the rotted sill. I got stung in the face multiple times and the swelling is crazy. I got stung like right near both eyes and they are swollen shut and I can barely see. Does anyone know how long the swelling normally lasts. I have felt fine and my only symptom is the swelling.

The Tolland County ground water sensor in Mansfield is at .44 feet. Crazy how much water is in the ground there and how fast it has risen.

That's either the oil pressure sensor or coolant temp sensor. It looks new but those sensors are a common item to go bad.

Saw some Facebook posts in Fairfield County of homes with septic tanks backing up into the house. Yards were still completely under water this morning.

Sounds like he might have light a large 4 or 6 inch professional mortar shell and learned the hard way they are fused with quickfuse. Many people get their hand on them and are unaware the second the flame hits the wick it goes off. The fuse is set up like that as they are fired electronically. Sounds like he light one and it instantly went into his chest.
