  1. Sounds like fun man! Stay warm...and congrats again to you and the wife! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. That was you I met a little while ago right? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. Looks like 10.5" is where I'm ending at. A good day. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. 10" now! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, I believe it.. I'm pretty sure these drifts are easily 4'+. The orientation of my house plus the topography make it pile up on that side. I'm itching to walk up to the top of the bald today. The wife made me promise I wouldn't do it alone anymore (sigh) so I'm looking for a fellow crazy person to go with. My usual hiking partner is battling really aggressive cancer so he can't now. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. Still coming down! Still some returns upstream but I doubt I have another inch coming. I measure 10-11" in lots of places but 9"was on my board. I have some really big drifts on the nnw side of the house. I'll try to get behind the house and snap a pic later. 1:30 update: I was wrong! Double digits now. This was the best nwf event (by a lot) I've seen since moving here! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. To a guy that grew up below Columbia like me this is almost heavenly. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Woke up to 16° and light to moderate snow still falling. 8" on the ground is a great start to the season! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. I do well up to the 340s. There's nothing upstream anywhere near Big Bald's elevation. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. This is the most I've had on the ground since 12/21/18. That was 8.75". Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Just hammering away outside. Man I missed this! That second picture may be the coolest snow pic I've taken. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Up to 4.25" now and 21° at the house. Coming down pretty hard... mostly nickel and dime sized flakes with occasional gobs mixed in. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. Over 1" on the ground at the house. Its small flakes but they're sticking. I'm about to venture up near the top. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. Joe what elevation are you at? I'm thinking you're somewhere near McKinney Gap...is that right? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. From the GSP near term disco... "It seems the best forcing/moisture and even limited instability line up for the best snowfall intensity late this afternoon through this evening when we may see snow squall conditions set up across the mountains, focused near the TN border." Its been moderate snow here at 3100' for two hours or so but it's not sticking yet. I'm about to go check up the mountain. Good luck everyone! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. Partly sunny with steady flurries and 31° at my office at 3100' in Wolf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. 31 and flurries at my house. I'm 1200' lower on the mountain (the office) and nothing down here just yet. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. The wind out of the WNW is really starting to crank up here. Just had a 32 mph gust. The temp has dropped from 45° at 0600 to 34.1° currently. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. I never picked up more than 3.5" in any one event all season. I'm hoping we get at least 4" here in Wolf just because of that. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  20. I'm so hesitant to get my hopes up after that December storm last year but seeing those totals boosted my confidence for sure. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  21. I'm haven't looked at the rest of the models yet, but I'm gonna guess right now that the 3km Nam is an outlier lol. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. My NWS forecast beginning tomorrow afternoon: rain to snow, back to rain, then back to snow. I'm hoping one of us can get under the GL fetch they mention Monday night in the AFD. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Happy Thanksgiving you guys! Among the things I'm thankful for is our little group. We have a good thing here and I hope it stays the same for years to come. Oh, and I'm thankful for having something to track too. That's nice as well. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. I know Wolf Ridge has been planning on opening next week. Looks like perfect timing! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  25. Not gonna lie. I'm way more excited about this than I should be at this point. I remember the storm that seemed like a guaranteed 8-10" last December that I got 2" from. But I'm in the NWF belt above 4000'. I may get burned, but I can't help but be stoked. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
