Trying to figure out an ideal time to get some sleep. I want to be up by like 6am but I also want to see what the models end up doing tonight. Ugh.

20” of snow could yield 4-6’ drifts.
Should still be blowing and drifting Sunday too.

Looks like it's moving north pretty fast so we should all have the goods soon.

All you had to rely on were things like if spiders tried to crawl into your house or what squirrels did with your nuts, etc.
And it was less stressful back then

1 set of house back, long dune run in front of me but its not far from where the houses are getting comprised inside the river. House is up here, so I have no worry but I have front row seats. That last wind/rain ripper did some major damage. I watched the waves top the dunes.
Going to be a hell of a high tide tomorrow night.

I always did not like how they measured that President's Day storm with that 27.5" deal (Easy to look up COOP) but with '78 being 27.1" at Logan with heavy wind at the time, I say you have a shot of getting to the 26.3" that fell in the Big snow of Feb 26-28, 1969, storm. But we'll see. Harvey Leonard stated earlier that because of the drifty nature of this it could be tough to measure, just like in '78.
Im not sure they were many accurate measurements in 78, it was too difficult with the crazy drfits.

Best of luck New England crew. I’ll send pics I get from family in Marshfield they are inland near the Pembroke line. Thoughts on Logan breaking the all time record?
Gonna be close, I think its 27.5 or so for current record so 28 will do it.

I pop up once or twice a year in these big events but always lurk. I'm siked this peaks during daylight hours. Its hard enough getting this big storms to materialize but have peak snow line up is even more of a challenge.
Can't wait for tomorrow! Been with this group since Eastern days...best part is I am renting on Plum Island so I have front row seats to this one!
It's going to get wild there tomorrow, you on the waterfront?

Yeah not sure 24-30" here is gonna verify. 18-24" is my call.
If you get 24" you both verify

I feel TERRIBLE for all of you though. Wow. What a bust. Can we have a thread on what happened so we can learn?
Hasn't started yet so dont think we can call it a bust yet.

As long as we keep squashing the cutter next week which EPS continues to do we won’t lose it all
Shows another good storm on models after the brief mild up.
