Did places in N RI and SE MA legit get 4 feet in 1978 or is that just urban legend?

Most maps I see from that are around 3 feet or so in the jackpot zones.

I saw a map with over 50" in Rhode Island, it was really impossible to measure, all I know is I never saw that much snow and huge drifts before or after.

They're awesome! I bought a Cub Cadet 3 X 26 3 years ago with heated grips. They're more than adequate. You feel the heat coming through your gloves even on a day like this! Don't know how old your machine is but you may be able to buy a set and add them. I know you can buy them for Cub Cadet machines that came without heated grips.

    Ill check it out, thanks

Very similar here. Snow was always heavier than radar appeared and I am convinced it’s the wind . Like when Hanrahan posted what he thought was subby hole over this area.. the heavier echoes to the NE were falling here and that subsidence was actually to the west / SW over Ellington: Rockville/ Vernon.  Snowing quite hard currently . Down to 9.1 degrees

You should hit 15, close to what was forecast

Man that cape Ann to scooter band intensifying again a little. It just won’t quit. Awesome storm there.

Snow growth has drastically improved here which is kind of weird because I’m right on the edge of the darker echoes and I figured drift would cause it to stay east but something is helping out….maybe the boundary layer continuing to cool is putting some of the lower level lift into the DGZ.

Too bad it's not 40-50 miles west, that stuff over the ocean is even heavier.

I'm not saying this for Logan but in general snowfall totals with this storm are going to be all over the place.  Unless you are a really seasoned observer and know how to do it right a storm with 50mph gusts and temperatures in the teens will make it very hard to accurately do, especially when you get into the 1/10ths of inches.

That and because of the banding, it's going to be interesting to see final totals.
