    Mac jones

    Mixed feelings

Played with best College o line , best college Wr’s and best RB . How many other college QB’s would have excelled in ther situation . A ton .

Doesn’t mean he won’t be good but all the things that made him stand out are gone when he steps on field for pats. Odds say I’ve seen this movie before w first round QB’s. Wanted Fields. But if Jones has great decision making , quick release and excellent accuracy he could be solid.

I think he has that with this years Pats, good O-line, better receivers and tight ends, good running backs that can catch, I think he's a perfect fit for this team. I didn't want him but the more I listen to guys talking about him the more I'm on board.

I'm still amazed that scientists were able to release a fungus in Boston in 1910/1911 and then upstate NY in 1985/86 and it spread across the entire region by itself to keep them in check.  If only we had that for the emerald ash borers.  I'm losing ash trees left and right all of a sudden.  I was hoping that attracting a healthy population of woodpeckers would help, but it's made no difference.

Ive been hearing a lot of woodpeckers lately, they must be eating those damn bugs, I had 7 dead ash trees in my yard last year.

I think she’d take the 5000 and run, but she’s just been procrastinating.

A friend of mine growing up had over 10,000  he sold them for 5K, not sure if he made out or not, some of those cards were mine, we used to flip cards and I wasn't very good at it.

My brother in law collected baseball cards. He died in 2016 of AML. He left my sister in law with over 10,000 cards dated from the 70’s through the aughts. He had multiples of sets. God knows what’s in those boxes. He had it all catalogued on an excel sheet but I know shyte about any of it.
She’s looked into selling them but has no idea what the collection is worth. Some I’m sure are worth pennies. Some are probably worth hundreds. A guy offered her $5000 for the lot. She hasn’t sold them yet.

Probably worth more but she would have to check all of them, a tedious process.

I have a bunch of baseballs cards barely touched. Hundreds  and hundreds from the early 90s. Wonder how much they are worth.

Not much, I'll take them off your hands for $50, as a favor

Can’t wait for them to trade down for 8 5th round picks

I think they stand pat this year and get a top defensive player, then they trade for Jimmy G and pick up another QB in the 2nd round, just a hunch I have.

Most exciting NFL draft for Pats fans in some time

Should be an exciting night with all that's going on. I had a couple Seaver Koosman rookie cards when I was a kid, I think I put them in my bicycle spokes.

Omg, Deerflies are the worst!!! DEET works super well with me for mosquitos, and Lemon Eucalyptus helps with mosquitos as well. Unfortunately, DEET has never worked for me and blackflies. So my bug net just came in, and my lemon eucalyptus spray shipped and is enroute...I can't stand the getting bitten all over my ears, and those blackflies always try to get in my eyeballs and my nostrils...I hate hiking in backfly season. But this year I will be ready!!!

I usually swallow a couple when I'm golfing.

Wow what a beaut! You're good at catching those things. Yeah eating a fish once in a while is fine, but some people just keep everything.  Sad.

You think it's a native brookie? I wonder if DFW just threw some in there even though they said brown trout only was stocked.

I throw 90% back, if I get a big trout or salmon Ill eat it though but throw most bass back and all the smaller fish.

So what do ya’ll think for an outing/gtg next month? I think the Ranch would be ideal...centrally located for many. Although prob not ideal for SEMA folk.

It would be good to get 8 and play 2 foursomes but even 6 would work with 3 threesomes...or just one group of foursome lol. Whatever we can get.

Im in, I like the Ranch, been there a couple times.

I'm not a golf snob either. Get out when you can. I used to play Norwood in a league. Had my one and only hole in one there. Watch out for the roots :)

Did you buy a round of drinks? My partner got one on a league night and it cost him over $300, they have a pool now where you pay $30 and if you get a hole in one you get $100 plus the bar tabs paid so you go home with money instead of a credit card bill.

Bogey's won't kill you. Others will.

Got a triple, killed my score, last hole too and had an easy shot to the green from 120 yards out, just had to clear the small pond in front, didn't.

That was a low blow by Phin. Everyone’s gotta work. Amazon drivers make decent $$

Girl that delivered a package at my house before Christmas said she was getting $30 per hour, not bad for driving around dropping off packages.

Very up and down. 5 pars, 1 bogey and 3 “others”. Shot a 46. Didn’t get hurt and it was a beautiful night to be outside.

I just got back, only 1 par and a lot of bogeys. Takes time to get back into the groove.

You may surprise yourself. Sometimes when you have no expectations you just hit the ball.

You're right, it's when you start thinking is when  you get yourself into trouble.

Playing for the first time later this afternoon.  Have not even touched my clubs yet.  I hope I don't hurt myself.  :o

Stretch first, we start our league tomorrow, weather should be great for first week, it's been known to be 40 with drizzle first week, I'll take sunny and 70's.

We will be into the 70’s here in CT tomorrow.
This may be as bad as your no snow to BOS forecast when they got 18” where you disappeared for 2 months and never owned up to mistakes

I might tickle 70, good enough, great golf weather to start the season.

Nearly all balsam fir - high water content and low heat value even when dry, and most is far beyond where I can lug it to the road.  Maybe burn the nearby stuff next September.  Fir is the most vulnerable species during leaf-off, aspen when leaves are out.  I don't think today's wind will bring down any more.

Whats your best firewood up north, I get tons of red oak and ash down here, I'll burn poplar and pin cherry during shoulder season but I'm pretty stocked up on oak and hickory for the next two years.
