I doubt most places will return to offices in the summer-maybe post Labor Day...not b/c of Covid, but b/c it's summer....if that holds its 18 months out of the office-imagine predicting that on March 1, 2020?   Also the length of time has gotten people used to working remotely-hard to tell people they have to come back 5 days per week after that length of time....

My wife's more productive working from home and so are her coworkers, the company is just going to have them on site two days a week starting in June and they may stay at that permanently.

Or more.  I think Pop Warner league starts before age 10.  However, most publicized CTE cases are longer-term NFL players (which are more likely to be publicized because of career length/stardom.)
Edit:  Pop Warner league has many divisions, which start at age 5!  Some systems go by weight and the "Mini-mite" division is ages 5-6-7 and check-in weights 35(!!!) to 75 lb, up to 84 by end of season.  Makes me glad my organized football career was just 3 years in HS and 2 at Hopkins.

After Aaron Hernandez hung himself they studied his brain and he has CTE, I think they said it was pretty advanced and he was only 27.

33 is not young.   It’s likely that he’s been in the sport since childhood.   Mothers, don’t let your children grow up to be football players....

Yeah, he's probably been butting heads for 20 years, that's a long time and easily could be CTE.

What a sick  story this morning of Former NFl player Phillip Adams. Executing  two children (among the 5 dead /including himself) > I would never comprehend the mental anguish a man goes thru that decided to put a bullet in his own brain. in addition he killed his Dr. and Dr.'s Wife .... but to execute two children is ...

    CTE probably

Hmm, to win is a little different than fitting 6 guys into a salaried system where they all add up points.

I typically like guys who perform well at Augusta in their careers to finish high up the leaderboard. So guys like DJ, JT, Rahm, Speith (but given that he won last week I'm actually more suspect about his chances this week). Cantlay always seems to be lurking around the top 10 too.

If you don't have the winner though you're not going to win, so many guys play that no matter what dark horse surprises everyone and wins, someone picked him. I think I'll throw DJ in too.

  6. What 5 guys would you pick to win? I have to fill out my card tonight and looking for some help. I have Rory and Koepka so far, need 3 more. I like Finau too. There was one year where you took Ricky Fowler every time as it seemed he was in the running every week. Even if he didn't win he gave you some points.

Well almost 29-hours since the first shot...very minor side effects really. Arm got sore through the day yesterday and became quite sore during the evening and overnight but the soreness has really gone down since this morning. I did get this crazy brief spell of fatigue yesterday afternoon like around 3:30...laid down for about 30 minutes and was fine after that. Felt a little nauseous at times (especially earlier in the morning) but not bad!

I am anticipating some harsher side effects from the second shot. Has anyone here gotten the second dose of Pfizier yet? If so, did you experience symptoms? From the several I know the signals have been very mixed. I don't care about the side effects, just planning ahead for work purposes as to whether I should take a day off or just plan to work from home.

I'm planning on working from home for my second shot but haven't got the first yet so I may adjust my thinking.

  8. Used to love the Quabbin for smallies, caught some pretty nice ones, There's a relatively small pond in Charlton, its a weedy pond with a ton of lily pads, my friend lives on this pond and has a boat we've caught some 5-6 pound largemouths. The pond has little recreation, mainly just a few devout fisherman are on the pond.

  9. My home course has a pool where you throw $30 into a pool and if you get a hole in one you get $100 and all drinks for everyone there get paid by the pool. My partner got one, it would have cost him over $300, instead he went home with a $100.

It's still early but I usually get a decent feel for a big event early in the week before too much information infiltrates the mind. So here goes:

    Betting market (100 units total):

    Rahm +1250 (10 units)

    Rory +1900 (10 units)

    Cantlay +2050 (20 units)

    Simpson +3500 (20 units)

    Day +5500 (20 units)

    Conners +8000 (20 units)

If you have an extra 5-10 units that you found under your pillow and want to throw a dart at a longshot...I like Fritelli at +17500 and Si Woo Kim at +15000.

DFS lineup: JT, Cantlay, Berger, Day, Kokrak, Munoz

Does anyone else bet and/or play dfs?

No, but sounds interesting. We have a pool for all the majors, you pick 5 guys and lowest score wins, you have to pick a winning score in case of tiebreaker, cost $20 and a lot of guys play so the pots are decent size. I can tell you if you don't have the winner in one of your five you're not going to win.

No, You are def more than 73". Though 84" might be a bit on the high side if we did a long term average.

I don't think the GYX average is 30 years though....I think they only started in 1996. If you included the putrid 1980s into the 1981-2010 normals, then they would be less than 84".

I'm surprised Worcester is above normal, weird way to do it though. I suppose if I kept better track of every event at my house I'm probably right about normal.

Well we managed to get our man made pond filled but here we go again, right into a drought.  Wasn't it just a few days ago the GFS had widespread inches and inches of rain in the medium range?

It did but seems to either shunted south or dries up before it gets here.

I fell twice on the ice this winter...time to think warm.  We were in FL 2/25-3/10 and going back hopefully in late June to get a sense of living there....can always come back for a month in winter and stay in a nice air bnb.

We just did the same thing but have to go back in a summer month to see if we can stand the heat. We usually go down in October or March and its perfect weather.

Anyone here put in a shed without a permit? The shed is small and doesn’t require any sort of building permits or anything, but they want you to send them a fee with a design of where the shed will go, so they can give you “sign off”

I like to do things by the rules, but it seems to be opening up a can of worms.

Additionally, I live on a private street and the shed will sit on my rear property line, and the land behind it is owned by the preserve I belong to, not the town or anyone else.

My neighbors are aware and don’t care.

    Should I bother?

No, I put one in without a permit. It's not a big deal if the town inspector found out, it's not like you'd spend a night in jail.
