I know the builders are sending ltrs to people in smaller capes and ranches around here-a few have taken them up on the offer to leave-the demo crew comes in  and a bigger house goes up...good point above on the lack of small/starter homes-no one builds those anymore.

I've talked to builders in my area about that, they don't make as much money, easier to put their time into a bigger house that takes a little longer to build and make double the money.

People who think this current craze is sustainable are going to lose the farm.

This is just like someone who thinks they can "beat the house" in Vegas consistently and come out ahead.

Wonder how that guy who's has a million in bitcoins waiting for 10 million before he sells makes out, greed could get the best of him, I'd sell at least half or more and let the rest ride.

I did work for a PE shop that involved delisted companies a long time ago. I had lunch with our counsel one day in my first week and I still remember something he said about the Pink Sheets we targeted, but which could just as easily be ascribed to Wall Street generally. He said,  "We operate in a pretty dark corner of the market. You need to think about these target companies the way Obi Wan thought about Mos Eisley: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

Pinks are the wild west of stock trading, I dabbled in the penny stocks for a short while and decided it wasn't for me.

Zillow thinks our modest 3 bedroom raised ranch is worth like half a million bucks....lol. We bought it 4 years ago for 345k. There's no supply on the market right now which is part of the issue. As soon as anything within a sniff of 500k goes on the market, it's gone around here...usually in a bidding war/all cash offers. 500 is the new 400 these days.

Problem is where would you go if you sold it for 500K, you'd just get into a bidding war with the others who took advantage of selling their house for top dollar. If I had a place to go that wasn't expensive I'd sell now and hunker down for a few years.

It is crazy. And the Fed/Treasury know this, but have clearly backed themselves into a corner. Note how quickly Yellen reversed her comments about raising rates to combat inflation when the market dropped a measly 2% yesterday. The stock/credit/real estate markets have become so bubbly, and so much individual savings/wealth has been thrown into them and other nonsense like shitcoins, that they are now a significant risk to the economy if they falter. The Fed has no choice but to promise zero rates and more emergency QE even though the economy is growing at an almost unheard of rate and showing signs of overheating.

People  are offering 50k-100k over asking prices to bet a house  in my area, it's probably worse in and near Boston. That can't last

Been there, not quite as much as you but man, it would be nice if I had that money now. Knowing when to sell is harder than knowing when to buy.

Sitting down as a family to eat dinner every day around 5:30-6:00 PM is really important to us.

I saw some stat recently that the majority of families don't even eat together anymore. Everyone just grabs whatever out of the fridge and runs to their corner of the house, I guess.

I find that rather sad, but I supposed every family dynamic is different.

We do let our kids stay up later than most, 10 - 10:30 is normal.

I know some parents who have their kids, even older kids, in bed by 7 PM when the sun is still up and kids are still playing outside. Those kids then of course wake up at 5 AM... that's kinda weird IMO but I guess it works for them. Maybe that's the schedule for modern latchkey kids whose parents need to drop them off at school by 7 AM.

    Mr and Mrs DIT probably

I alternate between Grub X and the other one that name escapes me right now, a landscaper told me to do every other year with the Grub X. Looks like you caught it early so you shouldn't have big problems.

The other one has merit, I look up the brand, may be Bayer but not 100% sure.

    This it

So I was even after 6 holes feeling confident in my new tweaks and then I unraveled afterwards, which is pretty typical. Shot an 86.

Not bad first time out, I'd take it, I was high 40's for 9 my first time, bad start then had a nice run in between, the beginning and end as not so good,

Went to investigate an area of thin grass and discovered this when I put a shovel in it. What's the best grub control and when should it be applied?

Not sure why someone would not invest in a Level 2 charger if getting an EV.  There is some cost ($1k-5k depending...).

I've met a few people with all electric and they all invested in the level 2, I guess if you only do 100 miles a week back and forth from work and stay home on weekends level 1 is ok.

Stay over in Portland one night and hit all the breweries. It’s just not a single day trip route

Was going to suggest the same thing, I just back from Maine, spent 3 days up there at my sisters. They have kids so maybe hit Old Orchard or York Beach.

    Mac jones

    Mixed feelings

Played with best College o line , best college Wr’s and best RB . How many other college QB’s would have excelled in ther situation . A ton .

Doesn’t mean he won’t be good but all the things that made him stand out are gone when he steps on field for pats. Odds say I’ve seen this movie before w first round QB’s. Wanted Fields. But if Jones has great decision making , quick release and excellent accuracy he could be solid.

I think he has that with this years Pats, good O-line, better receivers and tight ends, good running backs that can catch, I think he's a perfect fit for this team. I didn't want him but the more I listen to guys talking about him the more I'm on board.

I'm still amazed that scientists were able to release a fungus in Boston in 1910/1911 and then upstate NY in 1985/86 and it spread across the entire region by itself to keep them in check.  If only we had that for the emerald ash borers.  I'm losing ash trees left and right all of a sudden.  I was hoping that attracting a healthy population of woodpeckers would help, but it's made no difference.

Ive been hearing a lot of woodpeckers lately, they must be eating those damn bugs, I had 7 dead ash trees in my yard last year.

I think she’d take the 5000 and run, but she’s just been procrastinating.

A friend of mine growing up had over 10,000  he sold them for 5K, not sure if he made out or not, some of those cards were mine, we used to flip cards and I wasn't very good at it.

My brother in law collected baseball cards. He died in 2016 of AML. He left my sister in law with over 10,000 cards dated from the 70’s through the aughts. He had multiples of sets. God knows what’s in those boxes. He had it all catalogued on an excel sheet but I know shyte about any of it.
She’s looked into selling them but has no idea what the collection is worth. Some I’m sure are worth pennies. Some are probably worth hundreds. A guy offered her $5000 for the lot. She hasn’t sold them yet.

Probably worth more but she would have to check all of them, a tedious process.

I have a bunch of baseballs cards barely touched. Hundreds  and hundreds from the early 90s. Wonder how much they are worth.

Not much, I'll take them off your hands for $50, as a favor

Can’t wait for them to trade down for 8 5th round picks

I think they stand pat this year and get a top defensive player, then they trade for Jimmy G and pick up another QB in the 2nd round, just a hunch I have.

Most exciting NFL draft for Pats fans in some time

Should be an exciting night with all that's going on. I had a couple Seaver Koosman rookie cards when I was a kid, I think I put them in my bicycle spokes.

Omg, Deerflies are the worst!!! DEET works super well with me for mosquitos, and Lemon Eucalyptus helps with mosquitos as well. Unfortunately, DEET has never worked for me and blackflies. So my bug net just came in, and my lemon eucalyptus spray shipped and is enroute...I can't stand the getting bitten all over my ears, and those blackflies always try to get in my eyeballs and my nostrils...I hate hiking in backfly season. But this year I will be ready!!!

I usually swallow a couple when I'm golfing.

Wow what a beaut! You're good at catching those things. Yeah eating a fish once in a while is fine, but some people just keep everything.  Sad.

You think it's a native brookie? I wonder if DFW just threw some in there even though they said brown trout only was stocked.

I throw 90% back, if I get a big trout or salmon Ill eat it though but throw most bass back and all the smaller fish.
