Love price chopper in Putnam.  Definitely a bargain place for sales. I try to get their often.

I stop in when I'm in Putnam, they also built one in Webster, MA.

Edit - Price Chopper is Webster

    Market Basket is Oxford

First mowing of the season.  Always 2-3 weeks behind valleys, coasts . May 20 is best looking lawn date. After that they go downhill

Looks good, I'm trying a new fertilizer this year, hoping for good results. Scotts three in one, kills crabgrass, dandis and clover and enriches soil.

  4. When we first got together my wife and I would spend $60 a week on groceries, its almost triple that now. Of course we make more money but you guys get the point.

Anyone travel to Iceland recently (pre pandemic or during).
    Thinking of going this summer

My wife went before all this covid stuff came about, said it was awesome, we plan on going someday. It was also a fairly inexpensive trip for 4 days 3 nights and she saw a lot in that time.

I miss the conferences down in Baltimore. I remember one conference it was still like 91 at 12:30 AM.

We went down on Friday and there were some wicked Tstorms, you would have loved it, game got rained out.

Heading to Baltimore for the Sox/Orioles tomorrow night.  Even there , it's only going to be a high  of 60 tomorrow and mid-40's tomorrow night.

Last time I went down there for some games I almost melted, it gets freaking HHH down there, maybe Kevin should move down there.

    Unpossible, early summer pattern.

Looks like a couple chilly nights, better bring some firewood in, I always feel colder at this time of year when it gets unseasonably cold.

Thanks... I would assume it’s a break issue, since when I apply them it goes away completely, if it was something else, wouldn’t be able to isolate it like that.

Very annoying for sure. I’m going to have my brother look at them this weekend to see if I need to schedule a pad replacement

Just don't wait too long, that sensors is telling you get your ass to the garage, if you wait too long you may have a rotor problem, that gets expensive.

Anyone here familiar with cars? My truck started a hellacious sounding squeak tonight and it happens while driving. As soon as I even do much as lightly tap the brakes, it stops.

    Brake pads?

Some vehicles have a sensor that squeaks when the pads get low, could be that.

ORH is nearly 700' higher and the Merrimac Valley funnels warm air toward CON.

Good point, my nephew lives north of Laker Sunapee and gets a ton of snow, one March they had almost three feet on the ground and they came down here for a funeral and we had bare ground and 50 degrees. I guess elevation is a big key up that way.

Damn straight! Family is number 1

That's way we did with my Mother and Father, three of us rotated so there was always someone with them, they stayed with my brother down the road from me so I was there everyday til the end.

The day we sell is the day we either come into a windfall well above now or the day we leave the region.   The biggest “problem “ is we really like this home and environment around it.

Me too, I only have an acre but I'm surrounded by a few hundred acres of woods with a just a handful of neighbors that you can only see their houses in the winter. My dog has plenty of room to play and I have a small mortgage, new roof and all interior recently updated, I'm content to watch the craziness from the sidelines. If things do crash, that's an if I have a plan to take advantage of it this time, hopefully there's no crash but I'm ready just in case.

I have an opportunity to sell, get out of the mortgage, ...and clear enough profit to reduce my lingering bloated school loans to zero... I just don't have anywhere to go and no reason to go there...

That's the problem most people have, if you knew someone that an appt for rent for a reasaonable price you could do that, maybe rebuy when things cool off.

Moderna #2 yesterday at 1115am. By 530pm I was exhausted. Woke up shivering uncontrollably at 345am. Took Advil.

I keep hoping for special powers.

Haven't been home to visit my parents in over a year. May 19th I'm considered fully vaccinated!!! Weeeeee!!!

Number 2 next week for me, also Moderna, I didn't react well to shot 1 so I'm probably going to end up in same shape as you.

I see your point but the situation in Baltimore is much, much worse than Boston was at its worst. Boston’s deadliest year (1990) had 143 murders. Baltimore had 330 last year. They are similar size cities (population wise).

But Baltimore should fear not-St. Louis is still outpacing it (by quite a wide margin in fact). Other contenders are Memphis and New Orleans.

    But they have great crab

I actually went through hubbardston last weekend. I kept seeing your log on and thought I had never been. Do you live near the guy with the big plastic Chicken in his yard?

I've been through a few times, I think its the pallet capital of the US.

Just hold tight. It will burst.

Always done, funny talking to realtors and other people in the business think it's not going to, it's just going to level off, I've been doing this almost 40 years, it goes up, it comes down, always happens. The higher it goes that further it falls, seen it too many times. Maybe this time I can actually make some real money if I play it right.

I was in a golf league in college and my handicap for the 9 was a 3 (lowered to a 2 if I played against commish). I always finished near bottom of league individually but near top with my partner since we were getting team strokes off my handicap.

You dinged and donged, we play similar format, we all stroke off the lowest handicap.

Snuck in my first 9 holes yesterday afternoon, although I've been to the range a lot this spring.  There is an old saying in fishing that if you catch a fish on your first cast it's going to bring about bad luck.  Well...I birdied the first hole and things promptly went downhill from there.  Had two drives land in wet bunkers, one of which was a bunker on the WRONG fairway (somehow managed bogey on that hole).  Had a nice 4-putt on a short par 4 after almost driving the green.  A real dumpster fire 49 to start the season.

Lol. Kiss of death to birdie the first hole.
