  1. Definitely proved the point over the last few weeks. Aren't they upgrading the GEFS? I read that on here recently me thought. I am getting old.
  2. For the next few hours we can imagine what this newest blizzard would look like... then watch as the 18Z takes it all away.
  3. Definitely cannot argue this logic. GFS has been pretty fantastic this year.
  4. I mean honestly, this 500 map is NSFW. But yeah, 9 days out. Still, this is what we do right? #CharlieBrown
  5. Yeah 0Z GFS is like what storm from 18Z? Oh well, for now.
  6. To play devil's advocate, being in the bullseye this far out usually doesn't end well.
  7. I don't want to be in the bullseye this far out. Obviously, the GFS/Euro show something and that's what I'm sticking with right now. The track details have more work to do yet. Obviously, a further shift east puts everyone in the game, rather than this I-81 mess.
  8. This is what we need it do at this range. Good news.
  9. I've simply never seen it he used in any meaningful discussions. I'll be sure to refer to it more.
  10. Agree. I was surprised by how low they went. 12z EURO run is huge
  11. Yeah, interesting his take here. Not having the ICON on our side, whatever, but the NAM still not onboard is concerning.
  12. Honestly, I can buy into the conservative view here. You either A) go with what a progressive/la Nina 2021 pattern would produce or a major snowstorm.
  13. Does give you an indication of how we could “fail” (northern stream stronger/more confluence, blah, blah) around here. Do think a middle ground between the CMC and GFS is a good call right now. Gotta wait for the models to stop shifting.
  14. From a cursory analysis this far out, grain of salt type stuff, L sitting over Great Lakes kills the storm on the CMC: 12Z GFS is further north so the storm can happen, although it's warm. That GLL needs to get the heck outta here for any chance.
  15. Light mist. 28. Who would've thought rain is possible at 28 degrees? 2021!
  16. I'm having trouble forgiving it for its "We're going to get 40" less than 12 hours before the event started". Must be tossed until proven otherwise... ha!
  17. Def the standard issue NAM overdoing precip.
  18. Exactly. By the time it starts sleeting, we've got a comfortable snow pack. Lock it up.
  19. Ha! Walk across the street and get snow, step back over and get sleet! Awesome! Let's hope it's wrong.
