    No complaints, arrived Friday night. Been feeling amazing walking the dog in the mornings and I can walk to and from downtown which is a major change from living out in Upper Crabtree. Still lots to explore because it’s been something like 15 years since I’ve been out here, looking forward to the fast approaching Fall and shall see what winter holds. Weather station is up and running as of today.

    Next time you do the Beartooth’s you’ll only be 2 hours away from me! Felt amazing last night rolling into Billings with no humidity and low 60’s. Walked to downtown and back and didn’t sweat, I could get use to this lol.

    Well the rain break was nice while it lasted (even though that map above says it’s been slightly below normal here but I can tell you it has not lol), heavy rain ever since I got home and probably even before that. In other news, I’ve accepted a position in Billings, Montana so I will no longer be a resident mountain member for the time being come August but as of now planning to keep my house here and hopefully rent it out so I’ve got some place to come back to in the future.

    Wicked lightning in Marion with this storm creeping in from the north.

    Woke up to it pouring rain under only one spec of a green radar return parked over the mountain I’m on. Atmosphere is juiced, get under any kind of return and it comes down quick.

    Been listening to it thunder south of here since like noon, storm around Cantsn may finally creep over the mountain but I’d be fine if it didn’t. Felt good for late June on the front porch this morning.

    I’d like some dryness and sustained periods of sun at some point soon, but these temps sure are great!

    Snow line here appears to be up around 4000’ when looking at the backside of Chambers Mtn.

    I was driving back from Sylva in it. Lightning put on a show along with the heavy rain!

    Getting out and measuring some protected spots maybe have me closer to 1.5” here. Hard to tell because there’s no consistent depth anywhere but more sheltered places had the most consistency.

    Yea hard to know how much with the wind blowing everything around but I’d say about an inch here as well if I had to guess.

    Moderate snow and grapuel mix, somewhere between 1/2” and an inch thus far.

    Dusting even at the bottom of the mountain at 3200’ when I got home earlier. Tapered off a bit now, thinking an inch is doable overnight.

    That was my first thought but couldn’t remember what the elevation is there. I love that view of Sandy Mush and Crabtree Baldes from the top!

    20 degrees and 1/4-1/2” here, hard to say with how it’s been blown all around.

    All But shut down here for the time being last I checked. Deck and vehicles are white, leaves are too, muddy ground is not lol.

    Yep. Furious little flakes here, slowly starting to whiten up everything.

    All Snow here, coming down good enough to call it moderate but just the tiniest of flakes.
