you know it will verify...for warmth it never misses. there should be some impressive departures for Jan. I am not sure we had one daytime high below freezing.
probably because it tends to melt once the sun comes out in the piedmont and coastal plain and we know its really winters last gasp of breath. relying on March to save our winter is just like moving across the bay in a leaking boat...you might make it but most likely it will sink.

Nothing can last forever. This pattern has to break eventually. No way we go from now to April with AN temps with no break. The 10 day forecast does look like April however. So we wait that long at least. And hope the trees don’t bud out.
^I can see what you are looking at... a path looking at hr 342 on GEFS. all of the sudden Canada is quite cold and the red had fled. step one I suppose
At hour 90 we should be able to see if the h5 is looking solid. In the GFS hour 90 the positive titled front was through the area already. Does it look like the GFS?
