I could see that. Winter being a week or 2. But as sure as I can be April will be cold and muddy and we will be saying where was this pattern in Feb.

1717 was good year for snow I bet. The GEPS might look better in the long term but when is it ever correct?

Not much else to say really. Wait for Feb and watch the weeds start coming up through the driveway crap s. SER will not be denied.

GEFS looks brutal through the end as the trough looks to dump again in the west with the SER controlling the story line for us.

you know it will verify...for warmth it never misses. there should be some impressive departures for Jan. I am not sure we had one daytime high below freezing.

probably because it tends to melt once the sun comes out in the piedmont and coastal plain and we know its really winters last gasp of breath. relying on March to save our winter is just like moving across the bay in a leaking boat...you might make it but most likely it will sink.

Not even worth the analysis. Just gotta wait for a major change in the pattern. And hope it happens. All roads lead to a ditch no matter what the h5 looks like.

Nothing can last forever. This pattern has to break eventually. No way we go from now to April with AN temps with no break. The 10 day forecast does look like April however. So we wait that long at least. And hope the trees don’t bud out.

^I can see what you are looking at... a path looking at hr 342 on GEFS. all of the sudden Canada is quite cold and the red had fled. step one I suppose

What can you do. Still couple days to nail down the particulars.

At hour 90 we should be able to see if the h5 is looking solid. In the GFS hour 90 the positive titled front was through the area already. Does it look like the GFS?
