The best if you must have mixed precip is ice to snow. It’s usually the other way with a departing high. Snow to ice then ending is not bad either. Anything that doesn’t involve rain really.

That seems harder and harder to come by. Cold start all snow cold finish that we track for more than couple days. It’s so hard to get all those ingredients in the bowl with any consistency. Last time was Jan 16 maybe. Seems nearly impossible.

Ha Now it’s winter. Never expected to shovel today. Best part winter is just starting. Rest up next 10 days. We will be back in the mode soon enough.

Ah I always forget that. I guess it’s best to stick with the EPS unless it’s not good. Maybe Feb will be better. at least we have this car topper on Tuesday to divert our attention.

You mean the op right? The GEFS did not look great to me. I could see where it might progress later down the line to something serviceable.

Not sure I saw that but will look. Must have been late op run. Every day I wait for GEFS and click 384 h5. Then I punch myself in the face and wait for another 6 hours. It’s a very good system.

Let’s hope the Atlantic gets blocked up like HM says he is hoping for.

Another thing I took away from the GEFS is the solid vodka cold all the way across Canada. would suck to improve the pattern but have weak sauce cold in the source regions. Don't see that to be the case right now unless I read it wrong.

from a micro location perspective I would guess you and I need a significant shift SW to see something out of this. capture off the NJ coast will give folks west of I95 windy and drying NW winds, chilly conditions...that is my considered opinion. interesting none the less. I am rooting for anyone in the sub to see snow of any kind now.

Thanks. Interesting. That’s a good spot for a lot of us. I know for clippers which are now extinct RIC pass is money. Your location imagine a NOVA pass is fine too. Any flakes would be fine.
