    WB only shows 850 and 700mb temps, and both of them our below freezing throughout the whole even for DC and NW (maybe it thinks they are all snow just based off those two temps??). SFC temps are pretty marginal (29-33) to start and become borderline unworkable towards the end (35-39). I'd bet a lot of that snowfall output is white rain or plain out rain.

    IMO you just got a bad first rep and that's the reason why a lot of us (I'll even admit me included) don't like you. It also feels like you tend to post stuff against snow and cold here in a forum full of snow weenies... but at least you're trying. The big thing is read more and post less. Hell I'm still trying to do that, and I suck at it still. I've only gotten slightly better over the last few weeks.

    Getting a sense of the discussion over the last few days, isn't this setup a lot about timing (as is with lots of our other setups)? Correct me if I'm wrong, but we need the wave to a delay a little bit so it doesn't get strung out/suppressed, and we can't have it delay too much or else it turns into a cutter, right? It feels like we need to balance lots of these factors out.

    It’s a slop storm verbatim. Probably around 5-8:1 ratios. Temps are around 35-38 in the metros.

    2m temps for the storm are like 27-31 at the start of the event and 30-34 at the end, colder NW, warmer SE. And your original statement was that 0.5-0.8” QPF, which is a substantial amount. Obviously I’m over analyzing now, but look at the whole storm before making a statement like that.
