At least we haven't had to hear about siphoning water from the mid-Atlantic to Mars or chopping down the forests of Canada for a day or two. I think we've gone at least three days without insecticide warfare against ticks too.

I'm not surprised. This was always going to be a N&W event. People further east shouldn't have believed those bigger totals. It's just like in the winter. But it was sunny this morning so that's good. And all this wind will blow the clouds away. Windy is good. Sun is better. I am tired of the rain. Hopefully someone builds a 250,000 mile hose to the moon that we can siphon all this rain into the craters. We can wash off the moon rocks and prepare them for mining. I hate the rain.

TV weather personalities are basically entertainers at this point. TV news has a format, it's somewhat interesting to me that the local news program still has the format of anchorman, just with more diversity. It's a well entrenched tradition. The social media met is also more entertainment than depended upon forecaster. Otherwise I think meteorology will become more specialized/niche. Ag interests, airports, commodity. That's where humans will still have a role for a while.

Nice to see flowers a little closer to where they belong. Snowdrops bloomed on Saturday, first crocus on Monday. Daffodils should pop on Friday next week.

At TT H144 it looks good. Northern stream lobe a bit further back, southern stream a touch slower, antecedent confluence stronger keeping heights dampened.

Yes but is that change correct or noise. Here's the last six runs and we can see some buckling of the northern stream jet but it really takes tonight's 00z run to bring home the bacon. I want it.
