That’s a Dad joke right there, LOL. And yes, every time I add “please advise” to my posts it’s in complete mockery of the emails I get at work where people either over use that phrase and/or use it incorrectly. I’ve had the flu when I’ve had the flu shot before so sometimes it’s doesn’t matter anyway.

Clearly its not the worst winter IMBY, we aren't talking the infamous STFU winter of '15-'16 but the constant pushing back of the goal is always frustrating for all. Also I'm wondering if the old weenie trick of reverse psychology works...

Wow, the Euro went from 12” at 12z yesterday to 1” for Orange County at 0z

Oh it happened, Hudson Valley Weather did a nice breakdown of what was happening in central Orange County and parts of Dutchess as we downsloped and got caught in subsidence between the heavier bands. It was deplorable.

Yes, 12.1" on 3/7/18 with a few other smaller events in the month bringing the monthly total to 22.0" which was well above normal but it could've been that much more above normal LOL

As many of you know, I'm a sit back and let the weather happen kind of guy, so who knows where it will take us. That said, wasn't it pointed out by many who are talking about the potential big pattern change coming that a wintry event this weekend was to be considered a bonus as the pattern change comes after this weekend?

It certainly does. I think the flip at the end, even for us, is inevitable but the damage will be done by then. Folks who don't clean up in time are sure to have a frozen mess on their hands as legit winter temps look to return afterwards.

14.9" on the season now with 12.4" being the average to date, so still technically above normal here. That said, that's just numbers, as far as how it feels....winter went into hibernation right before Christmas.

I joke in the headline about where winter is but the Euro advertises some winter up here over the weekend. Will be interesting to see how that develops over the next few days.
