  1. Been dry as of late. Haven't see a big gullywasher in the last month or so (except parts of LI/NJ)
  2. No issues then. Models actually look fairly meh for NYC and points east with the south flow off the cold ocean...maybe some showers overnight Thurs-Fri
  3. almost like the towns/cities want to get rid of it all.
  4. about 2.5 hrs in, so there was another hour to go. I'm sure some did tune in.
  5. LOL Many viewers have jumped ship. Huge drop in TV ratings over the past 5-7 years from 40 mil viewers down to 10-15 mil - The show drew an average of 15.3 million viewers for ABC on Sunday, according to early Nielsen numbers. That's a 56% increase from last year's show, the lowest-rated Oscars ever, which brought in just under 10 million viewers. That's welcome news for the Academy and ABC, but Sunday's ratings was still the second-smallest audience for the show in history. Just eight years ago, the Oscars brought in more than 40 million viewers.
  6. They haven't come out here-I'm hoping they are ok but who knows with night temps near 20 last night and tonight
  7. Unlikely-that came at the end of a cold snowy pattern with epic blocking-we are not in that at all obviously.

  12. those may not have accumulated in the city proper. Out in the burbs different story-we had 6-8 inches here April 2018
  13. I tend to agree....the globe has warmed significantly from the end of the last -AMO
  14. Agree-more of a hybrid AMO....it looked like we were flipping negative a couple of years recenlty only to see the warmer NW Atlantic waters return....
  15. There's no cold air anyway-it just blocks in a 50 degree airmass for us and gives us some rainy days. Blah.
  16. Daffodils in warm areas began to bloom yesterday. Crocuses out too. Skunk cabbage out here too.
  17. It's amazing how much the lawn has greened up here in the last week. First cut is usually mid April but at this rate it will be earlier.
  18. A short year for sure but good conditions Jan/Feb.
