  1. Some high winds here outside the band. Whiteouts in open areas.
  2. I did a tour with Steve back in the day at the NWS, was fantastic. I stayed there for 2 hours asking him a million questions.
  3. Niziol is the my all time favorite met. I follow him on every media platform.
  4. This shows the reorientation, band is going to move quickly. https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=CASET
  5. This isn't a fix, this is a bandaid. I want to be out in the middle of a 3-4" per hour stationary band looking like this
  6. Can see a subtle shift in wind direction off of Huron https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=ONT
  7. The band is now covering all of Niagara county. Quite rare for a LES band to go that far north.
  8. Potential for lake effect event a week from today as well. Lock it in, I'll be in Florida.
  9. The upstream radars show winds staying the same for another 3-4 hours. Someone south of lockport is going to receive a foot.
  10. Can see the dark clouds in the far north towns into Niagara county
  11. Most of southtowns received around 4.5" of snow, outside chance of some double digit totals with this one.
  12. RGEM looks to last around 1-2 hours as it goes south and rates should be 2-3 per
  13. Goes to show you the potential this event had. It was supposed to start yesterday and last until thursday. That band was kicking at 1-2.5" per hour.
  14. Measured 3.7" here with round 1. Round 2 should be stronger.
  15. Such a disappointment after it had the potential to be a blockbuster 4-5 days ago.
  16. Is there even as such a thing as "in house models". Do news stations really have that much capital to make their own weather model with collective balloons and data analysis? I'm pretty sure it's just derived from a mixture of the high res models.
  17. Lake Erie is 2 degrees above normal for the date, quite surprised by that. 43 degrees.
