  1. You should still do your research before you take any medication or vaccine. My cousin was given Zpak when he contracted covid in January and he has Colitis. He ended up getting CDiff and was in the hospital for 7 days. Cdiff mortality rate is 4-6%. Why would they give him antibiotics for a viral infection? They only work against a bacterial infection. I texted my buddy who is a PA and he stated doctors give out antibiotics far too quickly. I have another example of a doctor giving me meds far too quickly in January for some issues I was having as well, and ended up having pretty bad side effects. Sometimes the treatment is worse then the actual problem. Doctors treat the symptoms, not the root cause of the problem. You should still always question everything, even medical professionals.
  2. I really don't get the chip thing. I mean you're a police officer. Your car is tracked everywhere you go, also your cell phone is tracked everywhere you go. You're being constantly tracked either way. The chip thing literally makes zero sense.
  3. This won't help vaccine hesitancy. First they lied about the effectiveness and now this. Europe is going to be quite a bit behind the US as this was one of their primary vaccines. Clear link between AstraZeneca vaccine and rare blood clots in brain, EMA official tells paper https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-astrazeneca-vaccin/clear-link-between-astrazeneca-vaccine-and-rare-blood-clots-in-brain-ema-official-tells-paper-idUSKBN2BT1ER?utm_source=reddit.com
  4. I doubt there will be a deadly surge for the youth as not many die from it under 50 years old. Could be lots of new cases/hospitalizations though. Today anyone 16 and above can get the vaccine in New York State.
  5. The last few times I've gone to doctor with these symptoms they don't give me anything for it just fluids/rest so I stopped going for it.
  6. Looks like summer starts on Thursday Thursday Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
  7. I did not. I'm on day 14 with symptoms, still coughing up mucus. I think its sinusitis.
  8. The Sabres played the NJ Devils and almost the entire team got covid. I find it crazy how in 1 hockey game they all got sick. The flu is not that contagious. Covid on the other hand is extremely contagious as mentioned above.
  9. Would you rather have some small symptoms for 12-24 hours or go through this?
  10. Looks like 60s all next week. We might finally get a warmer than average April. Right now we're -7.2 for temps
  11. Seems like the brazilian variant has different symptoms than the original strain
  12. Certain countries also require vaccines when going there. I think Brazil/Peru if going to the amazon require the yellow fever vaccine and a few others.
  13. We don't have covid, but a different virus. We've both been really sick with head/chest issues. We both had a fever for 3 days of around 100. Lots of mucus, headaches, fatigue, cough, etc...My buddy at work has it too. He called off 4 days, I called off 2. I never call off. I tested negative twice, and he did twice as well. So we have covid and another bad illness going around right now. I'm staying home lol. Tomorrow will be day 13 with symptoms, after what happened in January to me, the reaction to the medication I was taken, and now this...I've literally been sick all of 2021. I didn't get sick once in 2020.
  14. Percentage of people in each age group that have received at least one dose Age Group 2021-04-03 75+ yrs 75.4% 65-74 yrs 75.2% 50-64 yrs 44.3% 40-49 yrs 31.9% 30-39 yrs 26.4% 18-29 yrs 17.7%
  15. Deaths, ICU, and Hospitalizations down today. I think deaths are beginning of a great trend, now that 75%+ of 65+ are vaccinated we should see deaths fall rapidly. We are seeing a plateau of cases, we won't see a 4th wave.
  16. I believe the UK variant is the primary strain around here right now. There is also another bug going around that me and my wife got. Today is day 12 with symptoms.
  17. We are definitely fortunate. Sometimes we take for granted how far we've come in the medical industry. Without immunotherapy my mom likely dies last year from cancer. Chemo and radiation didn't work. Excess mortality rose 23% in the USA last year. Even if everything wasn't diagnosed perfectly, Covid is likely the sole reason for this. https://scitechdaily.com/us-deaths-normally-change-less-than-2-each-year-in-2020-with-covid-they-rose-a-staggering-22-9/
  18. Over 100 million Americans have now received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Friday, marking 39% of the adult population, according to CDC data.
  19. Excess deaths are a good way to measure the change in average deaths from year to year. It disputes everything you posted with facts. Excess death data shows that the real number of covid related deaths globally are far higher then documented covid deaths. It's not really disputable at all. A breakdown of all the data globally. https://ourworldindata.org/excess-mortality-covid See above.
  20. https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/covid-19-some-canucks-cases-connected-with-brazilian-p-1-variant That variant has been growing in number in B.C. over the past month and was recently identified as a major driver of an outbreak that originated in Whistler. Some research has shown the P.1 variant is as much as 2.5 times more transmissible than earlier strains of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
  21. This is why everyone needs to get vaccinated, these variants are no joke. The brazilian one impacts younger people much more than the originally strain did. ttps://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/covid-19-some-canucks-cases-connected-with-brazilian-p-1-variant That variant has been growing in number in B.C. over the past month and was recently identified as a major driver of an outbreak that originated in Whistler. 22. I was hearing that Pfizer has enough data to apply for full FDA approval soon?
