  1. High tide is at 1 Pm for New Orleans. Water levels rising rapidly
  2. I expect storm surge to be 15-20 feet with this one which will really test the levee system. High Tide 12:59 PM(Sun 29 August) 0.76 ft (0.23 m)
  3. Pulaski is definitely due for a big event. When is the last 2-3 foot lake effect storm for you guys wolf?
  4. Definitely a sizable storm. The next few hours will be telling as the inner bands begin to circle around the NW fringes. Can also see a slightly northern jog the last few frames.
  5. I find tracking Hurricanes just as much fun as lake effect snow. I really need to experience one.
  6. I saw a bunch of flights delayed yesterday due to staffing shortages. Our flight from Charlotte was delayed 3 hours because they couldn't find another flight attendant. I saw 10 flights canceled on the screen in Charlotte showing cancelled, with many more being delayed. I think the mandatory vaccines/unemployment is really messing up staffing across the US. We all need to get back to work.
  7. Perfect track for max storm surge on Euro. The question now is how strong she gets. I think we see some insane RI tonight into the morning.
  8. New Orleans spent 50 billion redoing their levee system. I think it holds. Track looks almost perfect for max storm surge for New Orleans though.
  9. Quite the shock going from around 30 in the morning to 90 here with high dews. Definitely taking it in! Pool days continue!
  10. Beautiful outflow as the size of it expands. Looks prime for some RI this afternoon and especially overnight.
  11. Maximum Sustained Wind Overall (mph): 150 mph Maximum Sustained Wind at Landfall (mph): 130 mph Pressure at Landfall (mb): 943 mb Landfall Location: Morgan City
  12. Louisana has been getting destroyed by hurricanes the last 2 years. Just last year they had Laura (High end Cat 4), Delta (High End Cat 2), and Zeta (Upgraded to Cat 3) and likely another major with Ida
  13. This is why I'm still scared to travel international. What happens if you test positive before you leave or when you come back? The risk is always there. No testing needed while traveling domestically.
  14. I actually jumped in the one further down stream. Safe to say I lost a few inches that afternoon.
  15. If it goes far enough west it may spare New Orleans. Laura was a cat 5 last year and didn’t have too much damage.
  16. Iceland remains my all time favorite trip. So diverse, around every corner is a breathtaking view. I would love to go back in winter to see the northern lights.
