  1. Looking SW of DC it looks like a little backbuilding/pivot.
  2. Rain/snow mix in Columbia heights dc now finally. Looks like the back edge is racing East though.
  3. It actually looks like a middle finger though lol
  4. LOL the GFS has a middle finger of rain right through the DC area at 12 hours on the 12z run.
  5. Wow it really is torching, mid to upper 40s downtown now.
  6. I am definitely seeing some commutageddon scenario with this one. Obviously not as bad as the 2011 storm but with the heaviest stuff coming 2-6 pm it could get ugly.
  7. Also the sun won’t be nuking the accumulation since were still at near a minimum of solar radiation.
  8. Wow! Imagine this actually turned into a legit event in the middle of our craptastic pattern. I guess if there's any time of the year when we we can make 33-34 work it's early January.
  9. Really a shame that low just sits and rots in the GOM on the 12z Euro....would've been nice if there was something to bring it up the coast.
  10. Had a nice downburst or microburst in takoma park, tried to upload video but the file was too big.
  11. This for me is my 3rd favorite storm since moving to this area in 2009. 1. Feb 5-6, 2010 2. Jan 20-21, 2016 3. This The reason I put this ahead of Feb 9-10 is because this one was a big reverse bust and broke a big streak of no good storms. Even halfway through the storm we weren’t sure if it was over. Last night around 7:45 walking the dog was one of my favorite jebwalks ever. **disclaimer, I was out of town for Dec 2009
  12. 11.5 inches at like 9:30pm last night, apparently it kept snowing til like 1 am so I’m calling a foot in Takoma Park.
  13. Before I forget I wanna note that the ICON did pretty well with this storm. Nailed the 2nd part.
  14. Measuring snow depths between 11-12 inches on an undisturbed picnic table. Still snowing lightly.
  15. Would be cool if those 2 bands could link up before pulling off...
  16. One of my favorite storms ever, wasn’t it just like Wednesday we were talking about how 2-4 would be a win?
  17. Wow at this SN+, the southern edge of these bands overpeforms the northern parts. I think I undermeasured earlier, did a more broad survey of undisturbed areas and am finding 11 inches in Takoma Park.
  18. Wow at this SN+, the southern edge of these bands overpeforms the northern parts.
