    Down to 11 degrees in DC on Monday morning according to the Euro. That would be some deep winter stuff with a fresh pack if it happens!

    I was just looking at a storm up in Canada on the Euro and it has snow on every side of it. Imagine living someplace where you didn't have to be on a specific side of a storm to get snow. It doesn't matter if the storm goes north, south, east, or west of you as long it's close it snows.

    I need to upgrade my home weather station. In general I prefer to spend a little more money and buy something that will last as opposed to buying the cheapest option off Amazon and having to replace it quickly. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    33 degrees with a nice snow shower of big dendrites in Takoma Park. Luckily I can't see any roads from my WFH setup, I just look out onto backyards and see a perfect winter wonderland.

    It has a storm riding up the coast but also a great lakes low. My takeaway is it has a storm in the general vicinity of us.

    Out to 120 on the CMC on pivotal, its much closer than it's 00z run to finding us a storm.

    00z UK looks like it would support snow at the end of its run. Low off the NC/SC border with precip approaching our area from the SW. Would be close on the thermals but at least the low goes under us.

    I dunno. I've just noticed your posts aren't very nice a lot of the time and I don't see a good reason for it. People are just out here enjoying snow, no reason to come after them.

    @Kmlwx I don't take issue on whether @wxtrix was right about the warning criteria, that's a minor detail. I just take issue with publicly saying something mean to the person for no reason. You could just be nice and explain it respectfully.

    This current storm has been awesome for us. Probably getting close to 6 inches storm total just outside DC and its breezy with pure fluff falling. I am absolutely putting myself through this again lol.

    Just had a nice gust blow through! Probably 20-30 mph for a solid 15 seconds, actually had some blowing snow. Really wasn't expecting this today, what a pleasant surprise.

    I'm not gonna try to radar extrapolate this band too much but it looks pretty healthy to me. I think you'll get another .4 at least.

    Definitely a fresh 1-1.5 inches with this band so far. It looks pretty decent on radar still.

    Takoma Park, Maryland. Parents live in Yorktown, NY. Grew up partially there.

    Got about 4 inches right on the DC/MD border. Northern tier of Maryland and eastern WV did quite well with a large area of 8-12 and some reports up to even 20 inches. That CCB backed into the area today and delivered.

    Just measured a depth of 3.5 inches on my deck. Obviously with the freezing drizzle and sleet and long duration it probably compacted a bit. Probably had about 4 inches storm total. Pretty solid for a miller B “miss”.

    I suspect that if I measured carefully I’d probably have close to 4 inches storm total in Takoma Park. But I didn’t and therefore have no evidence.
