  1. Man looking at the radar and hearing the wind I feel like we’re about to get a severe thunderstorm warning.
  2. Nice looking video. I was amazed when I first moved down here and was in Davis for a storm how rowdy it gets up oh that ridge.
  3. HRRR is high on temps. Has me at 26 at 4pm and we’re hanging out at 22. Know it won’t matter much in the end but I like being on the low side of temps.
  4. Great event - snow in the low 20s is always a big win around here! Padding those season stats and it’s daytime to boot. #winning
  5. 22, moderate snow. You will not find me complaining about these conditions.
  6. Yeah it does. Solid daytime advisory level or low end warning event with cold temps to start.
  7. 14 degrees in Takoma park, coldest morning in a long time. HRRR looks great, 2-4 inches of daytime snow. Let’s do this.
  8. This storm definitely is increasing my minutes tracked per inch of snow season average.
  9. Ah man long week, staying home with the 3 year old because his preschool is closed for COVID. At least my daughter gets to stay at kindergarten despite having COVID cases in her class because she is vaxxed.
  10. Final call 2-4 DC then pingers and rain which is fine, perfect stats padder.
  11. Next weekend would be sweet. I LOVE snow before a big arctic dump.
  12. Little inch per hour snow pairs nicely wild card football.
  13. Better thump, that’s all the matters. Who cares about the changeover when it’s dark and late anyway.
  14. Yeah - I like the idea of a storm, still a lot of uncertainty. An all snow solution seems unlikely for us metro folks but we're still in the game for snow of some sort.
  15. Yeah, I feel like a transfer at that latitude with cold in place can actually work for us. Maybe this will keep evolving….I guess the problem is the high is gone by that point.
  16. Yeah would be a cool storm with the deform swinging through in daylight.
  17. Maybe, but we still have ensembles that aren't fully on board with the inland track. LWX specifically mentioned the shortwave is over a data sparse area in the Aleutians this morning so I'd think that means to give the ensembles a lot of weight.
  18. Certainly looks like that happens based on the snowfall totals, they go up at hour 150.
  19. Looking at the black and white maps but appears the CMC looks similar to GFS....
