With AGW, it seems the shoulder seasons are being extended, and summer and winter are getting shorter. June used to be a pure summer month, now it's just an extension of late April it seems.
Yeah was doing it all day, now this morning had a light dusting and still pixie dust coming down, roads were snow covered, they had to salt. Even RT 2 had some snow on it until about RT 31.
Most real storms don't pop up until 7 days or less, when your really think about it. Most of the 10+ day storms vaporize or become some sort of strung out wave.
You ever tried riding in the river valleys in late February? It usually sucks. I've been riding in Baker River Area for years and around 20 Feb the trails are usually toast, half gravel half snow. Maybe not every year, but most. The elevations are still ok.
Wachusett is just so busy now, the area really could use another mountain. That's why I stopped buying a season pass, line would be too long and I'd just end up at the bar ... Or at least that's what I tell myself
