  1. There was some decent excitement around when UMass BBall was good. Nothing like professional sports tho.
  2. Yeah, I've never actually been there but seen people on it. Usually I'll go to Brigham, as that holds ice really well. Today was Cowee Pond in GVegas. In a little hollow behind a hill, tall white pines all around. The shading makes a huge difference, the far side that gets the sun was fully open.
  3. Right near shore it was actually over 10". The thinnest I went to was 4", as that's minimum safe thickness. The cold temps the last two nights actually really hardened and locked it up pretty good The PFD is for when I go test the thickness lol. This place is only like 6 ft deep as well.
  4. Still ice here in N ORH if you know where to find it! Definitely the last day though.
  5. Hasn't we've had a couple years recently where @powderfreakhit his high temps for the year in April? Lol
  6. Yeah, Quabbin still really low. Not sure why folks are poo pooing the MOD drought status.
  7. Cars covered, driveway was starting to get covered. RT 2 was starting to get a very-mini amount of slush in some spots, decent rates.
  8. ice fishers might get a little more in this weekend
  9. Yeah I'm without power, pretty big area too.
  10. Mid DEC until late JAN wasn't great. Mostly dry with a couple rain events, and a couple torch periods.
  11. I think we'll snow bigly. Things cool off so fast after sunset this time of year.
  12. Jeez you leave early. Looks like it's still a 5 mile back up or so. Glad I can WFH today yikes.
  13. Bright sun and 25° here near KBED. Hard to believe in 3 hours it'll be snowing....
  14. I've been in North ORH County for 14 years and I've already had (3) 30" events that I can think of off the top of my head, or at least very close to 30". A 40" will never happen though, too up and in.
  15. Based on today and definitely tomorrow, spring has already arrived
  16. Damn, that's crazy, and sucks. I've heard snowmobile theft is a big thing up in Canada, hence the DESS key invention I suppose, but taking a whole trailer is bold.
  17. Is Saturday a region wide torch day through to Montreal? 50 in the White mountains
  18. Or at least a SWS, don't think we had anything.
  19. With that level of snow pack and the Christmas Lights still hanging, I thought I was looking at Coös County for a second.
  20. This is why although noreaster's are fun, it's often feast or famine and many are left disappointed. MegaSWFEs like we had in JAN are our best events because it was snow all the way to Canada, with nice consistent accumulations. They also seem to stack dendrites better over a huge area, and often are longer duration.
  21. Let's keep it cold and snow thru the end of March, then right to 70s in April.
