  1. Yea. It’s part confidence and part mechanical. I honestly haven’t used it for years on the course. Only on the range. I can get a hold of it there sometimes...like 1 out of 5. So it doesn’t give me to confidence to bust it out competitively. 20% chance of a good strike doesn’t exactly get me excited to use it. Maybe I just haven’t found the right driver that feels good. I’ve only had two. I may finally invest in getting fitted this winter...go from 20% to 30% lol.
  2. That’s the first blame. Then the ball. Maybe the course. Finally, I’ll blame myself...but only after all external options have been exhausted first.
  3. Because I like to keep the ball in play and not have to take a penalty stroke. I prefer to score well then be a wannabe big shot.
  4. Old/bad habits are hard to overcome. I’m going through the same thing. Keep at it.
  5. Don’t use it often but I should probably give it a go. That or the 4i. I know I’ll be that guy in the group but better to be 200yd center (relatively) then try be 250/260 but sprayed into the woods and ponds...right?
  6. I never use the big dog anyway. It always stays in the trunk of my car. It’s my 5w and 3w that I’m struggling with. I’ve made some changes to my swing which has improved my iron play but messed with my fairway woods for some reason. The swing shouldn’t be all that different so maybe it’s my shitty old woods which have a flex shaft where they can’t meet my new crushing swing speed demand ha. Or maybe I just suck right now off the tee. Dunno.
  7. Playing Pound Ridge NY on Sunday with some high level folks from my company. It’s a super hard course and my tee game has been pretty bad. Good times.
  8. Nice. We knew you wouldn’t just give up like that.
  9. Fair enough. This stretch has been relatively sunny and dry though so I have no issues with the humidity. Some mornings have been wasted but nothing like Jul-Aug 2018. I played golf yesterday from 1-5 in it, carried my bag too. This pales in comparison to that monsoon summer.
  10. Dews do increase the likelihood of shitty mornings...I don’t think that’s an outlandish statement.
  11. Amazing how when the dews drop, the sun magically appears in the mornings.
  12. The only negative is the deeper we get into fall...the more balls I lose in plain sight.
  13. Put up a 38/43 at Wintonbury. Was rolling along until the 11th, then the wheels kinda fell off. Still struggling off the tee.
  14. There’s only one choice to make.
  15. Yup. Heel off! Almost feel like you’re doing a Bryson.
  16. That was an epic meltdown and then he gets two back on 17 and 18, I think, to get to +4. A 9 on 15 would of been enough. I wouldn’t bet against him next week at the 3M, in a weaker field, if he plays. I’m not a fan of his but I like to see how he’ll respond.
  17. Yup. Bascially any warm season weather where you can be outside doing something. I’ll even take 85/70 if it’s sunny but dews usually accompany shitty mornings (just like today) and then higher chances of rain or storms in the PM (just like today). Not many enjoy the greyness it brings.
