  1. 1000 mile move north from 0z ECM run how the mighty have fallen
  2. Dry snow was the key. 1996, 2006 and 2016 didn't have the dry snow either. 2003 and 2010 didn't have the wind.
  3. Not blowing snow onto the roads, I had that even today. But yards that looked like sand dunes with 3 and 4' drifts. Those 3 storms had that.
  4. A final storm note- drifting was very minor despite the awesome wind. Imagine this storm suffered the same fate as 2006 in that the snow was too wet. Still nothing for me has compared to 1978,1979 and 1983 in drifting.
  5. 18z GFS end of the run has the storm grand pappy weenie would be talking about
  6. Finally what we have been waiting for and will last into March at least.
  7. The 31" in Springtown Bucks also popped up Monday night. Nothing since eh? I was still down at 20" when the 31" made an appearance.
  8. 31 is the number everybody wants evidently. Got 31 up the street, 31 over in the other corner of Bucks, saw a 31 at Ancient Oaks(that number popped up at 10pm Monday night and never moved I was trying to figure that one out) 31 at the neighbours place() Something is amiss and shenanigans is afoot
  9. I was surprised that the end result did not bring back the Sunday coastal and instead it went the other way, you never know in this hobby
  10. They had better looking radar returns then me when the snow showers returned in the afternoon and into the night, I scraped out an additional 1"
  11. Significant retreat of the "polar vortex" cold that was being shown for next week a couple days ago to normal cold, no complaints.
  12. New entry for "family member". She insists that the snow is 12" deeper at elderly neighbour house next door because it's up to her waist there. And the justifications is it happens all the time in the summer when it's raining and places across the street are dry there is no convincing her otherwise lmao.
  13. I have a perfect 1" on top of the older snow that has fallen over the last 18 or so hours giving me a new total 24" Can't believe I am saying four days of snow
  14. ^^^^^ ok wait a minute Cooperburg 31" really! I am 3.3 miles away there is no way You don't measure the snow piles in the parking lot people!
  15. and just when I was pulling for the mild February and early spring that was predicted because of circumstance, all heck breaks loose because of a SSW event and here I go down a February 2014 repeat ay caramba!
  16. This last storm was another PDII with big amounts displaced north, what do you want to call that one.
  17. A different setup with the primary motoring NE with no stall vs a low sitting at the coast with time to throw mild air inland. But I don't care I just got snow.
  18. Five days out and the euro is the only major showing big snow quite a difference from the last one, although the para isn't out yet and it had a medium event at 6z
