  1. Will probably get one of those just as the saucer magnolias start to bloom! It's like Colorado weather - they seem to get most of their snow in spring.
  2. "Weather" is not just "winter" and snow/ice. It is also severe (thunderstorms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, floods, hurricanes). There are some here who actually follow other stuff too. Imagine that. On topic - it managed to hit 60 here yesterday but still have sleet-enhanced snow piles in the shady spots, even with the low yesterday of 39 and this morning still above freezing at 33. Currently 38 and it seems to be moistening up a little (dp was in the teens earlier after CFP and now in the 20s).
  3. Getting a scattered snow squall here. Watching patches of dark clouds moving through. Temp is 36 though so nothing is sticking. Got up to 40 here as a high for a bit.
  4. Mt. Holly just EASed a Snow Squall Warning up in the Northern Montco, Bucks, Poconos, Lehigh Valley, and adjacent Jersey areas -
  5. Up north may still be in the butt-kickage setup though! Especially the higher elevations.
  6. Behind the dry slot there looks to be loads of precipitation (assuming that band holds together and pumps GOM moisture up here)!!!
  7. Has crept up to 34 here now. Maybe the cold air is slowly getting scoured out. Still moderate rain (all rain).
  8. Temp is back up to 33 here (for now) and I noticed KPHL is starting to warm up a bit (I am actually closest to KLOM but they tend to run too cold for me). Still have moderate rain and a lot of slush. Looks like a dryslot is incoming before the (possible) final batch.
  9. Temp here has now dropped to 32 but still with all rain, although it seems that it wants to go with white rain (not hearing any pingers yet).
  10. Current surface map shows the warm front all hung up along the Apps. Then there is that big band of precip sitting just past Pittsburgh sucking up what looks to be tons of GOM moisture. If that holds together, there may be some flooding when that gets here. Not sure off hand how fast it is moving.
  11. OMG I was just about to post something about that too - my gauge is all jammed up so is not recording any of the rain. The CAD is holding firm as the temps were progged to go to near or to 40 (but it's still in the low-mid '30s even at KPHL), so the slushy sleety mess is clogging it up.
  12. Now getting all rain (moderate). First time this morning that it wasn't a mix of something. Temp still holding at 33.
  13. Temp still holding at 33 but now getting a sleet/rain mix with the sleet starting to build up.
  14. Still getting white rain with temp at 33. Have about 1/2" slushy something from the snow/ip/rain mix that has fallen this morning on surfaces that had previously been treated before the changeover and were bare earlier. That would bring me to 1.25" for round 2 (at post time) and with 1.5" from round 1, total for 2-day event is 2.75".
  15. Temp up to 33 now and getting white rain. Rain/snow/frozen line seems to be slowly creeping northward.
  16. Have been fooling around with getting Bufkit up and running again (had it installed on a linux machine a bunch of years ago and finally getting around to getting the latest version on my newer windoze laptop). It has been switching back and forth between a snow/rain mix and a snow/ip/rain mix here. There's about 0.1" of slop snow/ip/FZRA coating where the area had been cleared. Temp just went to 32 so now getting more water on top of whatever coating of ice had accumulated. This almost looks like an old-school clown map. LOL
  17. Getting a mix of powdery snow with a little rain mixing in at times. Since the ground temp is still below freezing (31) the snow is dusting colder/untreated surfaces. Dp has been bopping around the upper 20s to 30 so am getting a little fog too.
  18. Just cleared off my car. Now getting mix of snow/sleet/FZRA. A friggin mess. Temp is 31.
  19. Radar showing sleet signature here but am getting FZRA. Temp up to 31 (dp 27).
  20. Had cleared the board last night and just measured 0.75" compacted. I am not sure if there was any sleet overnight as part of that accumulation but right now, we have ZR. Current temp is 30 and it has been holding around that temp since just before 11 pm last night. Even though this radar depiction is showing frozen over me, I am getting rain so that warm nose is probably below the radar -
  21. Since you are the OP and the thread title looks to go through to 2/12, you could edit to include Round 2. I think most of the round 1 obses were posted (although some folks have had an extended round 1 and early round 2)!
