  1. Someone submitted a string of mPING reports while driving down Hwy 52 from Mt. Airy to Winston-Salem.
  2. Temp fell from 42 to 39 soon after snow began picking up here. Once it’s all said and done, we’ll have 4” of snowfall and 0.25” on the ground to show for it.
  3. Light snow flizzard ten miles north of downtown GSO. Just now started.
  4. Saw an mPING report just now of snow in Kernersville. Nothing IMBY yet.
  5. Overcast and 41/24 in GSO. Haven’t seen the first drop of precipitation in any form.
  6. Isn’t that the truth? My yard has been a swamp for weeks and now that we’re on the edge of having the right temps, we can’t buy a drop. “Our wills and fates do so contrary run.”
  7. I’m one of maybe half a dozen people who use mPING in the entire Triad.
  8. Central NC: “Oh, NAM. You look fantastic. We’re going to have a wonderful evening.” NAM: “I’m feeling nauseated. I need to go home early.”
  9. Meh, I’ve had enough rain lately. I’d just like to see some snow cover on the grass before grilling season.
  10. I’ll trade someone to my south 1 degree of temp for 0.2” of QPF. Anyone? Anyone?
  11. I had a bad feeling about this system, but got caught up in the wishcasting. My 1.5” for GSO was too optimistic. We’ll be lucky to get a dusting on the mulch.
  12. Maybe, but I might need to some QPF for that to happen. I’m not worried about temps here. I’m just afraid that we’ll be short on moisture.
  13. It’s quite in the SE forum. Either everyone has given up or they’re out getting milk and bread.
  14. What? Do you have a problem with the sky or clouds healing?
  15. The Mid Atlantic forum now has a thread for this week’s event. They’re whistling for this dog to come northward.
  16. We could see both a mulch dusting and three inches of snow within the same zip code. I’m one mile south of the Guilford/Rockingham line. I’ll be lucky to see dusting.
  17. Things are coming along great here in our northern Guilford rice paddies. Perfect timing before the early foot traffic hits the farmers’ market. But, seriously, this is becoming absurd. We should be able to bank all this water for when we’ll really need it in August.
  18. Look, folks. More rain on the way. This is getting ridiculous. My lawn is like a bog garden at this point.
  19. I don’t know about you, but I’m right at 40” of D10 fantasy snow. This winter has rocked on paper.
  20. Right at 1” of rain during this latest round and 59 degrees. Apparently, it’s another winter day in the western highlands of Scotland.
  21. My winter 2020-2021 outlook: bitter cold, below-average temperatures and bone dry from Thanksgiving to St. Patrick’s Day. In other words, the exact opposite of 2019-2020.
  22. Gargling moonshine will cure the coronavirus? Any recommendations for curing poor punctuation and syntax?
