With my .07" of rain today it boosted my monthly total to 11.38" which is the second wettest August in my 45 years of record keeping and overall the sixth wettest month. Wettest months: 1 - 17.28" August 2011 (aided by Hurricane Irene) 2 - 15.79" October 2005 3 - 14.21" September 1999 (aided by Hurricane Floyd) 4- 11.97" May 1989 5 -11,88" April 2007 6 - 11.38: August 2018 (as if August 23) Total precipitation for 2018 so far 46.90" Total precipitation since July 15, 2018 - 17.55"

Here in Clifton: 2.21" of rain since yesterday evening. Total for this month 10.22" making this the 2nd wettest August in my 45 years of record keeping. 2011 was the wettest August with 17.28" falling of which 9.27" recorded during Hurricane Irene!

3.38" in Clifton today with considerable road flooding.

.83" this morning 4.97" for August so far!

Yesterday in Clifton 1.16 inches 4.52 inches since last week 7.94 inches for the month which is the 4th highest July total since I started my records in 1973 (record 9.83 inches in 2004) Yearly total so far 35.52" 6 inches above normal.

Here in Clifton the very heavy downpour has tapered off to light rain. .94" since 5 a.m. Heaviest rate (2.28") at 5:58 a.m.

Another hot July 18th... 93 degrees at 1300hrs... We have more 90 degree + days on July 18th than on any other day of the year... Today was number 19, I have been keeping records here in Clifton since 1973
