The heat shrink stuff works good. Only downfall is if u get a torch mid winter, u can't open windows unless u take it off.

Controlling yourself in both situations is the key. Get obliterated, yea you're asking for trouble. Have a few and stay on a steady good line makes all the difference

April 1 starts striped bass fishing here on the Hudson river. Usually mid-late April is when the 20+ pounders show up.

I love walking courses too. My usual crew prefer walking and our foursome plays faster than many 4 who ride. Its an advantage when 4 people spray their shots and each go get their own instead of a cart crossing over a fairway back and forth multiple times. I can eat before a round, but hate the idea of stopping at the turn. Was just asked a few minutes ago to play at 10:15, told him he's nuts, too cold. I would play in this weather in December. Not March

Yea the unlimited alcohol on a 7 night cruise takes a toll on you lol. Usually weekend rounds I'll have a couple beers. Golf outings, especially the town and cities municipal Superintendents outing here, is mainly a drink fest with unlimited booze on the course. Those are fun, but your game really goes to hell quick

Going to attempt to play next weekend. Did one range session back in early February where we had a warm day. Tried out my new PXG 0811 driver. Was hitting some sweet draws and straight bombs. Worked mainly on my wedges being I struggle with the 60-100 yard shot. Iron striking was good for not swinging for a couple months. Even was messing around with a 5iron stinger. My irons are 3 years old, I jumped on the One Length, using Cobra F8s. I love them, very easy to hit. The mental part is the toughest having a GW the length of 7i. Ill probably give these a couple more years, hinted to the wife I was going to upgrade to Radspeeds, I didn't get a friendly look lmao. However she loves coming out to drive the cart to have a few drinks if courses let us. Some days she even walks and pushes my cart. We are most likely cruising in July to Bermuda, found out one of my good friends will also be on that same cruise, who also golfs. We will probably play at Port Royal. Hoping I'm not to hungover or drunk to top and chunk my shots on a course like that

This weather is awful. Give me 90 and humid any day and ill still walk the golf course

Salt distributors have municipalities by the balls. Each fall we have to guess how much salt we will need for winter. We ordered 550tons I think. If we don't get all 550ton delivered by end of winter, they charge a "storage fee". If we run out and have to order more, you guess it, they raise the prices on next delivery.

Got maybe 3 inches here for a WSW for 4-7 inches. But I'm on the Hudson river in Orange county, this setup should have been better for central and Western orange. We did not drop our plows until the main show batch was gone. We dumped salt while it was snowing heavy, knowing the batch would stop around 1230ish. We let the March Sun angle and salt wear down the snow in roads (small town, we don't do the highways that run through, state roads) leaving it slushy with blacktop showing. Very easy cleanup after and put more salt down after the last wave came through

I hate the cold. Cant do anything. Im not a snowboarder or skiier. I used to enjoy pond hockey, but now it's too cold and destroys your expensive skates. Give me warm weather to grill, golf, chill outside with a beer or 4, walk the dog. Its very boring in the winter

One million dollars per mile is the estimate. How many miles of powerlines are there? We all know estimates are way underdone. Now count for the terrain, especially here in the Hudson Valley. Alot of shale and mountains. Ripping up existing roads and sidewalks and needing to resurface , which costs more money and travel nightmares. Then you have to rip up peoples lawns, driveways etc...to connect services. All new developments are getting underground I used to lay powerlines underground in New developments. Thats also a slow process on virgin dirt with no other utilities or objects to get around
