  1. Soon they'll be experiencing the opposite, where colder air is moderated by flowing over the relatively warmer river waters.
  2. Not much wind but what little there is seems to be flowing off the water. I reckon that's the culprit for MDT.
  3. Sounds like you've got it all buttoned-up buuuuut you did ask for verification from others, which seemed to imply your own skepticism. Hey, who am I to question anyone's reading when I can't even report a daily high because my wife has a giant black pergola covering too close to my station haha. Which, by the way, is coming off soon! Hopefully this weekend, and if my theory is correct, I'll be able to report accurate daytime highs. We shall see. I know you're all waiting on the edge of your seats for my update.
  4. Checked a bunch of WU stations around my area at varying elevations and, no, they all showed steady consistent drops through those hours and beyond. Get your equipment checked Training, and no this isn't your wife talking
  5. You must have missed my post from earlier this morning (I’ll let it slide this one time) where I predicted a final mean temp of 59.7 — good for 11th place all time.
  6. Doing my end-of-month chicken scratch and I think this warm stretch will have us ending October with a final mean temp of ~59.7, which would be about 3.8 AN and be good for 11th place all-time. Book it.
  7. It really is. Fickle as can be. Not as fickle as hockey but fickle nonetheless. It’s funny, I was listening to Cowherd’s podcast like a week ago and he was going off about how it was all over and the Phillies were just too hot and nobody else stood a chance and the home crowd was too intimidating and yada yada. And I was just thinking to myself, “You knucklehead, this is baseball. Momentum only goes as far as the next day’s starting pitcher.” Nothing is a given in sport, particularly playoff baseball. Again, fickle.
  8. 44 at the house and 37 through the rurals. Now we’re off to the races the next few days. Tough pill to swallow for the Phils. Time to board the train here in Mount Joy.
  9. Welp, I’m at a loss. Just tired of watching the same script every year against these guys. Defense plays its ass off and the offense is completely inept. This staff has never been able to scheme a passing game. Ever. Throw in a subpar WR room and QB with accuracy issues and that’s what you get. Ugly. The frustrating part is that this is the smallest the talent gap has been in a long time between these teams. Difference is they have a guy like Marvin Harrison and we don’t. Well, that and we have an inferior coach. I don’t enjoy saying that but it’s beyond debate at this point. When he doesn’t have the talent advantage he gets exposed, without fail. Just an embarrassingly bad game plan and display of play calling. Pathetic. I don’t want to hear about moral victories. And don’t get me started on the 14 point swing from the fumble return TD brought back. Sorry for the rant. Had to hit the bottle ha.
  10. What's funny is I have noticed when I'm in Harrisburg I've seen way more littering the sidewalks. I've honestly seen zero on my property this year. Crazy how localized it can be.
  11. They have been virtually non-existent around here this year. Not complaining. But yeah the wasp explosion seems real.
  12. Yes sir. Hallmark of a cold sink. The 9-11am period can be wild. Inverse of the period right around and after sunset. Assuming conditions are supportive, of course.
  13. Yeppers. That's what I was keeping an eye on. Still surprised I didn't see a Trace.
  14. Nothing here to your east, which pretty well aligns with what the radar was showing.
  15. Love our defense, unsure about the offense. Receiving core is a problem. I think that line will come down throughout the week.
  16. Low of 42 here. Daddy daycare was a success yesterday. Lots of football watching and beer drinking and pot roast eating and baby crying. But we got it done, and with no new injuries to boot. Isn't that always the standard for fathers
  17. Low of 44 here and 1.29” of rain. This storm was modeled pretty darn well, I do believe. All the wives are going to a baby shower today so I’ve got some buddies coming over with their kids. Daddy daycare in full effect over here in West Hempfield. Just put a big chuck roast in the crockpot and picked up a case of beer. Should be an….interesting day haha.
  18. I haven’t been able to get out the 40s here all day, stuck at 49 currently. Impressive. Looks like about .8” out there thus far.
