    That type of question is dangerous though, because the human lifespan is such that if we write it off as being possibly cyclical and “just a phase”, most of us probably won’t live long enough to know for sure if that’s true.

    Somehow we escaped that stretch without a 90 at PIT or even a daily record. Still, it was miserable. 88, 85, 89 to start October. The 80 at PIT on 11/2/2016 also comes to mind, though it looks like that didn’t extend to central PA.

    The max of 85 here (PIT) for September, which should hold, is the lowest since 2009. But likewise, a lot of Septembers in the 2000s that didn’t get to 85 here.

    Lots of time for that fantasy range stuff to change. Seasonable and fairly dry otherwise. EC is on board too. Monday could make a run at 80 but I don’t mind that if it’s short-lived.

    CMC provides a similar temp pattern, but also a relatively unrealistic low track. Not sure what to count on in the 7-10 day period.

    Usually we root for the GFS over the EC. Now it’s time to root against it.

    GFS is ugly but WAY out of sync with both the EC and CMC. But yes. The 6z has that coastal deep in its run.

    It’s getting to the point where the Phillies almost certainly have to sweep the Braves next week to get into the playoffs.

    I don’t think it’s bad at all, it’s just the recent theme of being conditioned to accept a fall where the “cool downs” are basically normal temps.

    I get 22 days a year.

    I’m in Cancun the last week of October. It’s a tremendous risk when it comes to missing the first flakes.

    Hasn’t been a single flake east of the continental divide on any model run for days.

    SPC slight risk (5/15/0 probabilities) area coincides very closely with PBZ’s domain, for what it’s worth.

    I think the first half of next week will be at least a hair above the normals of 71/51. Nothing extreme.

    Should be interesting. Nonzero tornado risk, though the parameters don’t seem that impressive.

    Yes, the interface is much less tedious on TT. It’s a trade off.

    I rarely use TT, as you’ve probably seen from the images I post on here. LOL
