  1. I've been to a half dozen games this year and, despite losing, they are a blast to watch. They have 4 impact players (3 starters) under 21 and are a lock to have one of the top 3 picks with a real shot at drafting that kid out of Duke. Beyond 2025, they have at least 1-2 1st round and 4 2nd rounders in the 2026 draft so they have a lot of draft capital to trade when the time comes to go for broke. So yeah, they are truly at the bottom in terms of wins/losses, but are in fact pretty far along with the rebuild.
  2. Salivating at the idea of a Tee Higgins and Terry McLaurin duo.
  3. Embarrassment of riches. We're so focused on Sunday that we aren't even talking about today, BCPS has already cancelled all afternoon activities due to the afternoon snow coming. In years past we were so starved we would have been tracking today's storm.
  4. It's a great time to be a Commanders fan. While I wouldn't trade Lamar for anyone in the world right now, it has to be acknowledged that his contract will eventually start to hinder the moves Baltimore makes and their window will grow smaller. At the same time, the Commanders have a few more years to spend heavily around Daniels and his rookie contract.
  5. Yes! In Towson it hasn't gone above 32 since the snow, so besides the radiative melting we still have a soft fluffy snowpack that was definitely getting blown around today with the wind. Not going to take much at all here.
  6. And computers. No one has mentioned computers yet. 2020/2021 taught us that, while not sustainable long term for the well being of children, having them do remote learning for a few days is much more acceptable from a risk perspective than forcing them into potentially dangerous situations getting to school. That has nothing to do with the "we've grown soft as a society" narrative some like to push.
  7. This look like a big fish eating a little fish to anyone else or have I just not had a cocktail yet?
  8. We need all we can get, this sunshine is wreaking havoc on my base layer of snow!
  9. I took a walk around my neighborhood at sunset and all the roads and sidewalks in my area are slushy after a blinding sunny day. BCPS is opening 2 hours late and I agree with them. People are going to have a rough time getting out of their neighborhoods before the sun has a chance to do its thing.
  10. I've honestly researched flights to Aomori City, it's on the bucket list.
  11. Agreed. I literally used a broom to remove the snow from my sidewalk this morning. Haven't done that in years.
  12. Not for me just north of Baltimore. It was all snow all the time. Can't see where these numbers are coming from in my area.
  13. Final tally of 5.3 in my Towson backyard. Not quite what we were hoping for but look on the bright side, this stuff is here to stay! I take 5 inches that lasts weeks over 8 that melts in days in a heartbeat.
  14. Sheesh, seems to be snowing all around me but not over me. Still getting pity flakes in Towson.
  15. Looks nice but at least over me just north of Baltimore that is all virga. Did the lower atmosphere dry out that much during the dry slot?
  16. Is this going to curve north? By my untrained eye it looks like it's making a beeline ESE toward Richmond.
  17. Thanks was asking for a friend who would love another semi-sleep-in day. Can't roll out of bed for 8am zoom meetings at 7:45 when you have HS kiddos
  18. Anyone ready to give odds on area schools opening tomorrow?
  19. Just under 4" in my Towson backyard, but this should help the totals for us Baltimore area peeps.
  20. They called it, got the text about 20 minutes ago.
  21. Bonus question - does anyone remember if this one went north of the consensus 48 hours out? Don't these always go north?
  22. Looks like a bust in Towson, not that we were expecting much but not even a pity flake and the radar is dry behind us all the way to Frederick.
  23. Fun and games now and I'm a weenie too so not pointing fingers whatsoever, but this would be a disaster declaration scenario for West Virginia.
  24. All - you're thinking about next Monday all wrong. Think about it. When did Carter pass on and when did King Euro start sniffing out snow next Monday? Next, look at the years Carter was in office '77-'80 for snowfall analogs for DC. See what I mean? Don't worry DC peeps, there will be a beautiful blanket of snow when you wake up Monday morning that will last all week!
