  1. It’s fun to watch the storms on radar, hard to predict where they’ll end up flowing too. We got 1.2 imby today. When it does rain, it’s more in line of a tropical downpour than an average rain storm. .
  2. Carver, John or Jeff. The summer of 57’ seems to be more in line of what we’re seeing now with the strong El Niño bedded with the severe drought until the Jet stream took over and most areas saw flooding in early fall. AO for 57’ in July was near neutral NAO was slightly negative to neutral I think we are steering more towards 1957/1997 lane as of now but I’m not on the same level on understanding these things like you guys are. What thoughts do you have on this? .
  3. July the new April? East Tennessee will likely have a positive amount of rainfall for the month of July. John and myself have pretty good chances of seeing 6+ inches of rain over the next two weeks. Carver, Jeff. Isn’t this similar to 2017-2018? I wasn’t home in Tennessee often that year but I do recall (unless my memories bad) the whole month I was here in June that it rained every damn day. I don’t remember if we were in a drought that year or not. Also to get some chatter going in this quiet place, Is it factual to say we haven’t had a severe outbreak in the area in a long while? I understand that we have had a few F-O tornados and I’m not taking away from that however I feel as if we just have the occasional heavy thunderstorms now. .
  4. When they took that more S-N jog is when they really intensified. We have been getting much needed rain imby. Cold front sweeping though tonight might help with a bit more. .
  5. Same with sweetwater. Pretty intense lighting too. Havent had a storm like that in a long while. It’ll be interesting to see how storms setup tomorrow with the Hight setting more in Kentucky. .
  6. Monroe county has been hit or miss with rain. .
  7. Yup, Southeast ETN has been getting a few soakers the past few days. Finally had a good sunset today after a weeks worth of dreary clouds. This is facing your neck of the woods. .

  16. ULL finally moved and allowed the cold air to come off the plateau. You can see it on the lower level water vapor. I just dropped from 28.8 to 26.2 in under 10’mins .
