  1. 17.2 here, it would be nice to have some snow on the ground. The mud just froze solid....
  2. I would definitely fear being the jackpot right now....
  3. 'You could actually see the ridge developing out west towards the end of the run starting at 0z, more so at 6z on the GEFS? Maybe it is on to something, one could say the weeklies were showing something similar, just a week later?
  4. Hopefully the warm up comes and goes without a huge impact on current snow pack up North, that way we don't have to "rebuild" it come January...
  5. The 12z GFS just showed something like this....We went from being fringed and cold to wet with very little cold air around.
  6. At this point I would gladly swap them for some extended sunshine....
  7. GEFS have it showing up at the end of the run too, Alaska showing signs of getting cold. Hopefully transient, it would definitely lead to a warm Christmas week....
  8. 8.0 for the low here after a high of 24.6 yesterday....Januaryesque
  9. Flipped to all snow here, temperature down to 33.1...
  10. 8.1" of snow and ice. Started out this morning as some rain, quickly flipped to heavy sleet. Now mixing with snow, temperature has dropped to 34.1. Winds picked up out of nowhere gusting well over 30 MPH.
  11. Just finished shoveling and sledding with the kids, just rolled over 7.5" here in Newtown....26.1/25 atm, mostly snow with a sleet pellet from time to time.
  12. Wow! 3.25" so far and pouring snow, 24.1/22 atm....
  13. 26.2/10 atm, it looks and feels like January out there. I am roughly 20 miles north of the sound, hopefully I can hold of the sleet long enough to pick up a few inches.
  14. 34.7 at 1:07 this afternoon under partly cloudy skies is quite impressive for down here....
  15. Nam 3k has it switching back over to some snow for a couple hours before moving out....Low is further south this run, the EURO was close for here as well. It wouldn't be much, but something nice to see....
  16. How about 3 miles south of 84? No snow for you!? ......How low do we go over night is how I like to play this type of system, this time of year. Forecast low of 19 here tonight, if we wake up and it is cloudy and 28. Quick burst of snow to pingers to rain. Closer to 20, then a good 6 hours of frozen should be on it's way, especially with dewpoints near 5.
  17. Anyone notice that the new GFS was later to the party with the storm on Thursday than the old/current one was? I think every other model had the storm in some form or another before hand. That doesn't seem to bode well going into the winter season if the FV3 ends up taking over at some point.
  18. 22.0 here this morning, heat was cranking way too much for November 13th....Non stop oil trucks this winter it seems, there better be plenty of snow to come along with them.
  19. 71 atm, hundreds of ladybugs have come out of no where and are currently attacking the house....feels great out!
  20. At least the first one is under 300 hrs....
  21. Bottomed out at 27.1....ahhhhhh the fake cold, unfortunately had to turn the heat on.
  22. 33.8 already, glad I put the cover on the greenhouse today....might be able to save a few things for a couple more weeks.
  23. I should always read the last couple pages before I post...Thanks for the clarification.
  24. That was a pretty cold run of the 12z GFS/FV3 GFS....has lows in the 20s even down here by the 20th. That was a pretty quick flip. It definitely has the look of the past few years where most of the country bakes relative to average and we stay locked in the "cooler" pattern. EPO driven I would assume?
