    LOL, how’s Sunday looking now? You simply can’t trust a dry forecast if it’s more than about 36 hours away right now.

    Somewhere around a farmers rain here. Just under a soaking rain but a little more than rain. But it is oddly wet but oddly not gusty and I can feel something is up with that.

    Can’t speak to general forecast accuracy but they all missed yesterday at 4 days out. 100%. Seems like rain always sneaks in the closer we get to these forecast nice days.

    On Saturday I made a tee time for today because my NWS forecast was sunny and 64. Reality was an all day rain and temps in the mid 40’s. Now I’m not making this post as some type of criticism. I’m just marveling at the fact that we NEVER get a surprise precip event with much below forecast temps in winter. It seems we never get that surprise snow event. Just think how fun it would be to have that happen just occasionally.

    Maybe we can get lucky and get some effing rain LOL. We don’t get some sun soon and I’m gonna lose it.

    The region wide drought thing I mentioned was referring to those drought maps we often see posted. I’ve always thought they were notoriously inaccurate. Heck around here 5 miles can be the difference between desert and swamp, especially during the thunderstorm season.

    Fully believe that the theory of a region wide drought is false and based on what must be incomplete data. We are above normal here, in a place that is prone to being dry.

    Not sure you can get a winter worse than the past winter. At least a northern stream winter might be closer to normal temps provided we don’t get a blistering southeast ridge

    Not sure about the Euro but the gfs is really cold aloft. Won’t be any trouble at all to snow at 34-36 degrees. Accumulating snow is another story though.
