    For whatever reason, looking at the gfs ens, I’m intrigued by the period next weekend.

    Problem with that is you’re always gonna have ens runs that give snow in the winter, especially when you get out past 7 days. Throw in a few good hits and voila you have a more than zero chance for accumulating snow.

    You guys are saying what I’m saying. There have been several mentions of “preceding” cold air masses. That’s what I am calling a retreating cold air mass. @CAPE you mentioned a vortex. Isn’t that just a cold dense airmass?

    I’m just saying the suppression is caused by something. I think the position of the cold matters and I don’t think we want to be frigid HERE. Clippers are the only thing I know might work in that setup, unless the cold airmass is retreating. Just my opinion. Doesn’t mean I’m right

    Can’t wait for the MJO to cause the TPV to undergo a SSW which will turn the NAO NEG along with EPO causing the PNA to go POS and keep this winter from becoming a POS.

    Hardly. The euro had a big storm at one point. It was first to start taking it away though Now the gfs? Hard to imagine a worse performance
