  1. Did you say … you miss seeing blue balls? Did I read that wrong?
  2. This is some performance. Worthy of the WTF monicker
  3. Euro hasn’t predicted a day 5+ snow correctly in 6 years.
  4. My expert analysis says that whatever we have, we want something else.
  5. Sorry. I disagree. Its …. Warm/dry, cool/dry, cold/dry.
  6. Not long range, but as good a place to put it as any … at KOKV, this month, in 23 days, 15 below freezing, 5 with highs in the 30’s and ….. 0.05” of precip. So give me a January with 3.5” of precip, then let’s evaluate.
  7. Way too early for these types of proclamations. Our three best winter months are still ahead of us.
  8. But that was a good winter also. Decent anyway. Did you mean 19-20? If so, I agree. That one was awful.
  9. Where can I watch this? As a sidebar, 1993 was the storm of the century in my eyes.
  10. The place I want to see super cold air is all of Ontario, Quebec and New England.
  11. If you can find them, look at the maps from winter 1997. The northern Rockies and upper Midwest were brutally cold and it never came east or south.
  12. Lol, as Ji says … the model with no snow is the correct one.
  13. Yes I think it’s a long shot. Very long, but you never know.
  14. Any thoughts on Monday maybe starting as a period of snow. Doesn’t look likely but maybe possible?
  15. It’s how we roll. The March thread is usually up and running before MLK day.
  16. Yes, any northern stream system has the potential to do that. My hope would be that at the least we can get cutters into cad, or true clippers that actually track under us all the way to the coast.
  17. We also had great winters in 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 with no help in the Atlantic. 2012-2013 was decent (location dependent) and 2018-2019 was good. I don’t think those were friendly Atlantic’s either. We have seen this discussion crop up year after year and everyone has their opinion, but for me, I like nickel and dime winters that are frequent and consistent. Not much for the big event and let’s call it a winter type winters.
