I saw that and thought the same thing, right before they asked. Didn't she say that they wouldn't let her in the deep water? When I was watching Cantore yesterday, I thought that he may have had his crew push that dumpster through the shot to simulate the wind. It had to be staged that way.

Question for those who know a ton more than I do. I know what an outflow boundary is and how you can see it on the Radar pushing out ahead of the incoming storms. Right now I see the same type boundary moving towards the cells on radar. Is there a name for what this is, or is it just a radar anomaly?

Yes....on to the next losing streak! I heard some stats on how inept their pitching is. It's because the don't pay for pitchers. THe average MLD team spends 25-30 million on pitching, which is 1/4 of their salary base. The orioles spend just under 8 million....which is 1/8 of their salary base. You need pitching, especially at Camden Yards. The sad thing is that none of the good pitchers want to pitch there because it is a hitter's park.

Where heavy showers move continuously over the same area for a period of time. It resembles a slow moving freight train and usually cause flooding issues.

agree...when it happened to me as I mentioned above, the water was clear as came in. I know my expanding foam solution I uses wasn't the best one, but It worked for as long as we lived there...and as a 25 year old, I didn't have foresight to worry about the folks we eventually sold the house to.

Those alarms are a godsend! I didn't have them when my water heater went up, but luckily i noticed that the water wasn't getting hot and went down and shut it off when I saw the heater leaking. :-) If there is an issue with the line coming in, They might have to dig up the ground where the water enters the house and check to see why the water is following the pipe down the conduit.

I would hope that it was brass or steel coming into the house to handle the pressure before it hits the pressure regulator.

I had the same problem in my first townhome. There water which came into the house from the street entered through some a conduit (i can't remember if it was pvc or steel) and I recall it leaking after Floyd. I used some of the foam filler and it took care of the problem, but that was back in the 90s and we sold it 2 years later (without more leaking).

My SIL lived there for 4 years before the 2010 quake as part of her job with USAID. She is pretty upset about this because she knows all to well about how the infrastructure down there is set up and what wasn't fixed from the last quake. i really don't get a good feeling about this one and hope for the best.

Look at the map in the article., It states that eggs can laid on vehicles and transported to other locations. Looks like they went for a ride right out the Pa. Turnpike and down 81.....

They were coming over Mount Airy as well. I had fun seeing where they were coming from on Flight Radar 24.

I saw a post about it possibly being related to insecticides used to keep the cicadas away. I'm not saying that is confirmed or 100% accurate, I do recall seeing that last week.

Anyone ever had to shop for a stairlift for a parent/older relative? My MIL is looking for one and the company which came in with an estimate was at $10K for one which curves around a landing and $7500 for two straight ones which meet on a landing. Wanted to see if these were outrageous prices or not.

I've watched Wonder Woman and Soul and will probably watch Space Jam. I liked it.....and having a 144 inch projector screen to watch on does make the experience better.

I'll have 2 away at college this year and am looking forward to getting the wife who teaches and daughter back in school. I'm working from home permanently now, which I'm still adjusting to and the quiet makes it easier to focus.
