  1. Going to guess at this; JFK is probably <1 mile from Jamaica Bay and beyond that obviously has a longer fetch seabreeze off of the larger and much deeper Atlantic Ocean. HVN is further from the coast and can have a fetch of ~20 miles, Long Island Sound is not as deep. I believe in the area of 65 feet for the central area. Maybe the Sound Breeze takes longer to develop and thus HVN can have a higher maxima before the onset. Other than that, I got nuttin'.
  2. And 5 out of 4 would agree with this.
  3. On Sunday it looked like tonight was the only real chance for any rain until the following Wednesday.
  4. Probably. 55° down here. Last 2 mornings great viewing of Venus and Jupiter as they are now at 9 degrees apart as they head toward their closest conjunction on the 12th when they will be < 1 degree apart.
  5. Not sure if any activity makes it here before 630pm and watching Dews drop or at all.
  6. As Norm Dvoskin would say; "Not A Sky In The Clouds" .
  7. 0.73" Week @ 3.06" Next choo choo in this train might be a little further east.
  8. At least late morning into middle afternoon. If I can locate my records, I will be more specific.
  9. Trace in both events, melting as it hit the ground. 1977 was pretty much continuous, while 2020 was showery.
