I assumed the faucet would turn off and it very well may have already. I hope not.

With a shower this morning, we have officially crossed 10" of rain this month in my backyard. Wettest month we've had in the 6 years I've lived here. May to start dry and cool.....let's hope the faucet doesn't completely shut off as seems to have been common over the past several summers.

McHenry missed that storm.....but I didn't. We were driving back home from Kentucky (funeral) and experienced it parked on 31 after a powerline was snapped ahead of us. I was legit scared.

I'm mostly focused on the rain aspect. We're at 5.82" for the month and it looks like we'll get some really good training. If winds end up strong, I could see some trees coming down based off of how wet the ground is.

I was literally about to post this. Funny thing (not funny) - this is officially the snowiest winter I've had since I moved to my current home in McHenry.

Had really hoped it'd stay cloudier today than it has been. Sun angle is bad enough even with the clouds. Temps several degrees above forecast.

The biggest issue here is that it’s still very much a snow and sleet combo.

This is your storm. I was going to pull an all-nighter, but the radar is telling me not to bother so I'll probably go to bed after the heavier returns between here and Ottawa swing through.

Just switched over in the last 15 minutes or so. Thank goodness - was sick of hearing sleet hit the windows.

Snow Squall Warning issued for Springfield, MO, which honestly, from the radar, looks unnecessary.

12z HRRR was trending colder, but it's currently colder now than it has it at 7 pm. Let's see how this works out.

0z HRRR last night. Upper 50s forecast for 7 pm. Didn't quite hit 55 before front went through.

Yep, bit surprised at how fast temp has fallen and how early. Models last night were definitely keeping 50s around for several more hours.

The heavy band is very clearly setting up south of MSP.

Not saying the GFS is right by any means, but CAMs are terrible with snow, imo.
