  1. 850 was a big component for the snows over Charlotte and Triad. Strength and placement-
  2. Definitely impressive for many areas, especially Charlotte and the Triad.
  3. approaching 8 inches, here in Winston Salem---- 5 miles SE, with near blizzard conditions
  4. NAM is back some I would not trust HRRR at moment, then again let's see with NAM. The 18z looks more reasonable.
  5. HRRRR doing horrible job with precip. Never caught up with trends and obs. Checked webcams and it is snowing in NC mtns----NW. Hasn't done well at all most the day.
  6. My question is----will get mail today? I think my odds are better than trying to forecast this storm correctly.
  7. Of note the HRRRR has not been depicting this very well this morning.
  8. I hope nothing happens with any model data being delayed today or tomorrow. What would one do?
  9. Not sure, but my brain went immediately to the Land of The Lost for some reason.
  10. Not a bad forecast considering all of the available data.
  11. general 4-8 inches with snow ratios, with higher amounts in Smokies, and along coast.
  12. Sweet. Good school. Was considering going there when applying in High School.
  13. Do recall when we had the storm, I think it was 2000---- that did nothing? I thought it had a similar Upper Air pattern...but many years ago. At least phasing was the issue I recall.
